If you want to surprise everyone with your pregnancy there is no need to actually throw a party. I would maybe plan a special dinner or a family gathering and at the end tell them that you have a special announcement. SURPRISE!
It wouldn't actually be considered a surprise party but I'm sure you will definitely be giving everyone quite of surprise if they don't suspect you are pregnant!
When you plan everything and the guest of honor has no idea about it. Then you get that person to the party under false pretenses and shout SURPRISE!
it's a party that is planned for someone who doesn't know about the party. Then someone lures the person to where the party is and everyone shouts 'SUPRISE'.
Horribly uncomfortable for the person being surprised.
