How much do parents want to pay for a kids party?
ive been thinking of starting my own business catering and planning partys, everything from baby showers to retirements and every possible party inbetween, i know parents will pay quite alot for a sweet 16th but what about other partys. I would do everything from sending out invites, decorating the room and supplying home made food and birthday cakes the person who wants the party does nothing or as much as they want. what do you think and would you go for the idea, if you need more info let me know

Sounds like a great idea! For parents who are very busy with work but still want to throw a great bash for their child's birthday, I am sure your services would be very handy. I think you'll do great.
Depends on a persons income. I wouldn't be willing to spend any more on a 16th Birthday than any other. It's likely a regional thing. They aren't special here. Anyway, maybe $500.

I would imagine that you would not only have to consider what you are willing to offer (full-service, as you said, pretty much), but also the area in which you are trying to get clients. If you are advertising and/or living in an area where people don't have the money for a fancy party, nothing that you do will help; the parents just can't afford it. I would just make sure that you are marketing to the right demographic and then just a bit of comparison shopping should give you all the info you need. Good luck !
I would want to do everything myself except entertain the children for which I sometimes employ an entertainer who I would pay ￡85 for one hour or ￡120 for two hours. This includes prizes,sweets etc.
