Here are some ideas:

Black and white vintage party: Everyone dresses in vintage clothes that are black and white. Serve orderves, like stuffed mushrooms, fruit, and anything that looks good with a toothpick sticking out of it. Do something like play croquet.

Western Party: Have half your guests dress up like Indians, and half like cowboys. Play capture the flag over an expansive area, like a park or somewhere with a lot of things to hide behind. Watch a western movie, like Blazing Saddles, or Cat Balou. Serve things like fried chicken, beans, cornbread, root beer, etc.

James Bond Party: Have your guests dress up like in the James Bond movies. Play cards, have cocktail party style orderves (like stuffed mushrooms, fruit, and anything that looks good with a toothpick sticking out of it.), and watch James bond movies, of course.

Traditional tea party: this works great if you have a nice tea set, and good tea cups. have your friends dress up, and serve tea party food, like scones, cucumber sandwiches, shortbread, candied rose petals, chocolate dipped mint leaves, chocolate dipped strawberries, lemon poppyseed cake, and don't forget: one or two interesting types of tea. This is a good party idea if you want to have your party sometime during the day.

Fifties party: Have people dress up. Play oldies, and serve things like root beer floats, jello, casseroles, etc. Rent some of the old tv shows from the fifties.

You could also go with some of the more conventional ideas, like a pool party, ice skating party, go-to-the-movies party, etc.

I'm turning 16 soon, so Ive been trying to think of party ideas too, lately.

I had my party a couple months ago. We flew to New Orleans with a couple friends. And we stayed at this awsome hotel called the InterContinental. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt stayed there. We also went to a couple parades. If your parents don't want to spend too much money, just stay at a nice hotel near by with a couple friends. Play games, slumber people, and just have fun!! Good Luck!!! Happy Birthday!

At my birthday party, me and my friend shared and we rented out a cute, inexpensive italian resturaunt for the day. we each invited 9 so thats twenty, so these are group games. first, we each designed a denim bag that was to be the goody bag. it was a tote and we put out paints and ribbons and glue and rhinestones. then, we put out like 10 fashion magazines and notebooks and people cut out hair tips and makeup and dresses and clothes and glued them into the notebooks. then, we gave them makeovers, and we did their hair and nails, then they changed into very fancy dresses and we took polaroid pics and they put those into their notebooks. then we gave them their goodies which included a little compact mirror, a small makeup kit and lip gloss, little hairbrushes, combs and hair bands, and we gave them nail polish and they got their notebooks and put it all in their denim bags. everyone loved it. oh, and we also put out big pieces of posterboard and put out markers and pencils and stuff and the guests wrote stuff like happy b-day and little funny inside jokes and stuff. it was a blast.
