games or things to do at a hang out night for our church. it doesnt have to be religious, just fun

Games are always fun, but have you considered setting the room up like a coffee shop. It will give many the chance to catch up. You can have your younger people serve the others.
You could even set the theme of conversation at each table. For example: Table to discuss thoughts on music. Or perhaps pose a question (like Yahoo Answers) and get everyone to give their best answer or solution and have the group vote on the best. I am sure Yahoo Answers will have an endless supply of excellent questions as your resource.

well i just did the 30 hr famine at my church and we had a lock in and these are the things we did:
played sardines. its sorta like hid and seek, but in reverse. one person hides, and has sum cards. and everyone looks for him/her. if they find them, they hand them a card. u play it in the dark.
and we watched movies, played board games, and played other games. have fun!
games.... scrabble and yahtzee are always fun..... card games and movies...
guitar hero fest.
fun for everyone for hours on end.
strip poker it's fun
You could prepare a themed meal for a charity.
Play the guitar bring some fun games like Up Words monopoly...you can play sports like soccer or basket ball....Bring Cd's to listen to...
