Question: So I am hosting a co-ed baby shower this weekend and need your advice
I don't know the kinds of games or food I should provide!. I know that baby showers are usually for women right!? So how do I keep the men entertained!? Is it trashy to have beer!? Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
I had a co-ed baby shower!. Its fine to serve wine and beer or whatever you feel your guests will enjoy!. We also played games and the men had a good time with it!. We bought baby dolls and had a race to see who could change the doll-baby's clothes the fastest!. Make sure the prizes also cater to men - for example, our men won tools (screwdriver, etc) instead of the typical body soap, gel parfums!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have been to a couple of co-ed baby showers and they can be really fun!.

Keep the food light, have chicken wings, cheese and fruit trays, deli rolls or have fixings to make sandwiches, chips and different kind of dips (spinach and artichoke, mango and peach salsa, a cheddar and ground beef dips), meatballs, and pasta salad!.

Its ok to have beer and wine there, but have fun drink selections for the non drinkers!.

As far as games have doll babies and have baby races, i!.e!. who can multi task with the baby and not drop the, have a clothing line on a short wall and have the guest try to hang clothes, on them while holding the baby!.

Have the guest blind fold themselves and taste the baby food and see who gets it right!.

Play the diaper game, have the women dress the men up in baby diapers with toilet paper and see who makes the best one!.

Baby bingo is always fun, get bingo cards and have the guest write in what they think the mom-to-be recieved in gifts and while she is opening them have the guest to place chips on the cards for each gift they guessed that was correct!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would definitely provide beer for the guys- they will not really want to be there in the first place and if there's no beer they will be complaining about it later!
for foods how about some frozen meatballs and lil weenies in a crock pot along with one jar chili sauce and one can jellied cranberry sauce (the sauce once cooked will coat everything perfectly and tastes SO GOOD!)
a veggie tray for sure
chips, pretzels and dips
something sweet - maybe fruit and some cookies or brownies
tortilla rolls ups are good- spread flavored cream cheese on tortillas and top with lunch meats and other toppings- roll up, let chill then cut into chunks
spinach dip is awesome in a bread bowl
taco dip with tortilla chips

for games- play guess the tummy size!. hand out a roll of yarn or string and a pair of sissors!. each guest will cut a piece of string to guess how big mommy is- you can have the guys try to guess daddies belly size for fun!
you can make a tree of wisdom for the parents- get a few dead tree branches and place them into a vase to make it look like a tree (make one for the ladies and one for the men) then cut out some kind of baby shapes in pink and blue paper (for a moms tree and dads tree) - maybe a shape of a baby bottle or something, have enough cut outs for each person attending then hang them all from the branches using pieces form a pipe cleaner or twist ties!. they look really pretty so you can use them as centerpieces on the food or gift tables also!. then each guest will write down words of advice for the new parents- maybe have the women write on dads advice and men onto moms!!? then they can read off all their words of advice and you can send them home with them as a keepsake from their party!.
make sure if having prizes to find some male approprate ones like a 6 pack of beer, mini bottle of booze, playing cards or gift certificates work well for both men and women!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i recently went to a baby shower with an environmental theme!. it went over really well!. all decorations were baby products!. beer is awesome at a baby shower but provide alternatives! play a game that incorporates both parents!.ie a good one is How well do you know (insert name) It is fun and everyone can get involved!. keep the food simple and varied!. Fruit and veges, meat and cheeses on a bun!. Have funWww@FoodAQ@Com

Co-ed baby showers are very popular now!. After all!.!.it takes a man to make a baby too!. Forget the games!.!.people in general don't want to play silly games!. Make it an appetizer party just like any other party!. Alcohol is fine!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make finger foods, like chicken wings, small sandwiches, unless you do a barbecue, with salads; and I would say no beer!. I would do sodas, lemonade!. As far as games than I would put in my search bar for jack and jill baby shower!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
