HS Graduation Invitation-better wording for "best friends/buds"?!

Question:

HS Graduation Invitation-better wording for "best friends/buds"?

We are having a graduation party for 4 boys (1 is my son) who have been friends since elementary school. One of the parents suggested "life long friends" on the invitation, but this sounds too premature since they are only 18. Another suggested "best friends" but that sounded a little "girly". Just wondering if anyone has any other ideas. Thanks!

Answers:
It doesn't seem that silly to say life long friends. Perhaps 10-13 years might not seem "life long" to someone who is a parent because they have lived longer, but in comparison to the boys' lives, 10-13 out of 18 years is pretty much "life long".

If you really don't like that idea, you could refer to them as an inseparable quartet or group.

Heres a Latin phrase: "nonne amicus certus in re incerta cernitur?" (a friend in need is a friend in deed )

Life-long.

Everyone who knows them knows they aren't dieing the next day, and they've been friends nearly all of their lives (thus far).

It's accurate.

No one would ever be able to use that handy expression if it could only be used within the last week of one's life.

Lifelong friends would work. They have probably been friends for most of their lives so far anyway. Or as one poster suggested The Four Musketeers.
