I'm planning an adult only luau party and need help!?
Any suggestions? I ordered some decorations from Oriental Trading (leis, palm trees, grass table skirts, etc). We will have Hawaiian alcoholic drinks. Any other suggestions? Should we have games? Any good music suggestions?

Tiki torches set the ambiance at night, they are very cheap at walmart or big lots. Serve your drinks in pinapples and coconuts, do Shrimp Kabobs on the grill with meat, shirmp, onion, grren pepper and pinaple chunks. For music don't forget Don Ho
Wife swapping ;)
Have a lei toss, so people can say that they got "leid" at your party. Cut coconuts in half for bowls, hollow out pineapples for cups, umbrella's for drinks, make a volcano out of paper mache for a centrepiece. Hope it helps, you gave me ideas for my next themed party. ;)
A hula contest would be fun, and you've got to play at least a couple of Don Ho songs.
A limbo contest is always fun. I know it originated in Trinidad, not Hawaii, but it fits the island theme. As for music, Hawaiian slack key guitar music is always nice. Reggae is very popular in Hawaii too, so you might throw in a little Bob Marley. If it's going to be outdoors, Tiki torches add atmosphere.
you should have hula dancers and contest to do the best hula
A roasted pig with an apple in its mouth.
sounds like fun! have some type of tropical music playing but dont deviate from the music that you want to hear! maybe have some hawaiian salad, tropical set of the chips . . .
Look for Hawaiian music cds at ANY music store or one of those Wally worlds. (Walmart) We dug a hole one year, and started a lot of charcoal on fire, then laid large ears of corn, husks and all in, put a whole pig w/ apple in mouth and treated on the outside with apple cider and wrapped in parchment paper covered the pig, with more hot coals and let it cook away. Or you can just put it on a big BBQ grill with a rotisserie and let it do the cooking for you. Be sure to keep basting with apple cider to keep it moist. Then do use your pineapples, coconuts, mangos, kiwis and anything Hawaiian, for pineapple boats, coconut mugs, mango margaritas are one way, kiwis to just use as finger food, veges and dips with the pineapple shell or coconut shell and etc. I'm sure you could go to a website for anything Hawaiian or google it, too. Good luck. Have a good time and toast all of us that answer these questions for you.
