What kind of food or treats should be served at a 1 year old's party?!

Question:

What kind of food or treats should be served at a 1 year old's party?

Answers:
Serve mostly the things that 1 year olds eat. Since they are kind of picky at that age and don't have much appreciation of the finer things in life you can put The Barefoot Contessa and Martha Stewart's Appetizer book away.

MOTHERS MILK

corn flakes,candies,lolly pops.

It depends on how many 1 year olds will be there and how many older kids/adults. At my daughter's 1st b-day party, I had regular food, party subs, wings, chips and dip, mixed fruit bowl. But my daughter was the only 1 year old there. I fed her different food.

Only foods that can be picked up by the fingers. Mini hot dogs, custard, jello , ice cream, their favorite veggies, carrots, corn. cheerios, etc. Have fun, keep it very simple, and not to long, you don't want the baby to fall asleep while eating.
. Have no more than 2-3 other kids present. Have a family party aunties, and uncles, grandma a grandpa's, have an early brunch and put the baby down for a nap at their regular time.
Hoyakins.

Get a lunch meat tray ( ham, turkey, and salami ), then get sliced american cheese, chips and dip, a punch bowl, a relish tray, a veggie tray, and a cheese tray. It was a hit at my one year olds party

Depends on what time of day you are having this. If it's early or late afternoon, why not a BBQ of sorts. Hotdogs, hambs, or sloppy joes, with cole slaw, potato salad, condiments, potato chips, veges and dip, and last but not least, DON"T forget the extra little cake that you place in front of the 1 year old and let them have at it!!! That is ALWAYS the fun part. Be sure to have a lot of film or video rolling for this. (You can put a plastic table cloth underneath the child's highchair so that when they are done, you can just clean off chair onto the tablecloth, hose down the child if you want{he he} and then hose down tablecloth or take it in house and dump the food off and throw tablecloth into the wash and you are good to go)
Make sure YOU enjoy it too!

Have some food and drinks for the Moms - nothing elaborate, chips and soda is good, or little sandwiches to go with it. Maybe have some Gerber juices that you just put the nipple on, some applesauce, or those teething crackers. At that age, Moms should be in charge of bringing food for their child in my opinion but you could have a few things on hand. Of course have cake and ice cream, something that isn't too rich, but a little won't hurt them! Be careful about balloons, my niece swallowed a piece of broken balloon at that age, she choked until she was blue and finally puked it out. Gotta have the house baby proof too! Have fun, it's a special day. Be sure to have someone else do the videotaping, so you can have fun!

vegie sticks with ranch dressing, slices of fruit with carmel or chocolate dipping,go-gourts,take some cereal cheerioes, corn flakes, and chex mix togather and sprinkle with regular sugar and rasins, etc.

icecream, punch, cookies, cake, chips, etc. sholud be served.

Most kids of that age are not very good at chewing yet. Its best to make "easy-to-eat" foods.

Slightly overcooked pasta - season lightly with italian dressing.
"Soft" fruit salad.
Cressent rolls filled with different items before baking - american cheese, seasoned soft veggies and ricotta cheese, fruit and creme fresh, etc..

i know how about food Lol j j i think breast milk

sweet soft foods.

you should have candies of all kind and like something easy they can eat

Little knoshes and Martinis for the parents. One year olds really don't know what's going on anyway. The best one I've seen, for baby, was a cake that the kiddo could smear around. Photos were great.
