First off don't take this the wrong way....We're not weird but we threw a surprise party for my brother that was a Halloween theme...In June. Haha, we all dressed up in sort of a Moulin Rouge meets Rocky Horror Picture Show type thing...Jeez, the memories...Haha, all of his female friends dressed up in these (I hate to say it but..) slutty dead nurse costumes (gory makeup and all) and all of the men dressed up as deceased noble wealthy men from the 1800's.... About 3 or 4 of the "nurses" decided to be waitresses for the evening and some the "aristocrats" decided to do Karaoke for the night....I know that is probably definitely NOT what your thinking of doing, but I just thought I would share that with everyone, haha, thanks for the opportunity!

Depends on what his interests are...but you could always go with the good ol party like a rockstar theme and have every1 be their favorite music celbrities. or a leinegre party?

Have a nintendo party using the original nintendo or an atari if you can find one. Otherwise beer and wing night can never go wrong.
How about "Gangster Night" in the old fashioned way. Guys dress like Mafiosos and girls like flappers. Please ask them to leave the machine guns at home.
Be sure you have a gangster outfit ready for your boyfriend to change into so he can join in the fun, once the big surprise is over.
