What to make for dinner?!

Question:

What to make for dinner?

Ok, here's my dilema. I'm having a couple over Sunday night for supper. The girl is actually my best friend, and I forgot it was her b-day last weekend so I thought I'd make up for it this weekend. Here's my problem.. both her and her hubby DON'T eat cooked veggies! Any dish I make that has cooked vegetables in it, they will either:
a) not eat at all
b) pick out all the vegetables and eat just the meat.

I'm not talking any cooked vegetable, I'm talking ALL cooked veggies! They're weird, I know, but I love them both anyways. I want something kinda challenging, nothing like spaghetti and meatballs. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Answers:
Lasagna

Try a steak dinner or do something festive like tacos or burritos and keep all the veggies cold like serve them as a salad.

Lazagna
Penne Pasta with italian sausage
BBQ'd ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs
Beef roast with gravy

Serve it with garlic bread and a salad (if they'll eat salad)

Spaghetti and meatballs!! always good....not as great without salad though ;)

When I have dinner guests, I like to grill thick NY Strip Steaks stuffed with Crab Meat & Horseradish.

(Filling: 1 cup - Imitation crab meat, 1 - TBSP Horseradish, 1 - spoonful of mayo, and a squeeze of catsup).

For a side dish, do cups of fresh berries etc..

Then make a killer dessert or something. Homemade cheesecake?

Why don;t you barbecue??There is nothing better than roast meat and fresh salads!

Chicken Alfredo with homemade sauce and garlic bread

Beef Wellington ( Special cut of sirloin wrapped in filo dough) and pasta with a red or white Alfredo sauce include scallops in the pasta. Scallops and beef go very well. I would still make a vegetable for your self . How does there skin look?

You don't have to serve cooked vegetables. Keep it simple yet tasty with lasagne, garlic bread, and a fresh green salad. This is the best lasagne ever! It's great for company because you can get it all made in advance, refrigerate, and then bake when you like.

Lasagna with Wine

This is a long-time family favorite. Serve with a tossed green salad and garlic bread.
1 medium chopped red onion
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 1/2 pounds hamburger
2 cloves garlic (minced)
2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce
1 6 oz. can tomato paste
1/2 cup of dry red wine
1/2 cup of water
1 teaspoon oregano leaves
2 teaspoons basil leaves
1/2 teaspoon of pepper and sugar
1 teaspoon salt
12 ounces of lasagne noodles
1 lb. ricotta cheese
8 ounces mozzarella cheese (sliced)
1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese

1. Saute the minced onion until soft.
2. Add hamburger and garlic to the onion. Cook until meat is browned.
3. Add and stir: tomato sauce, tomato paste, wine, water, salt, oregano, basil, pepper, and sugar.
4. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer slowly for 90 minutes.
5. Cook noodles according to the directions on the box.
6. Lay 1/3 of the noodles in the bottom of a 9X13 inch baking dish.
7. Cover with 1/3 of the meat mixture.
8. Top with 1/3 of the ricotta and mozzarella cheeses.
9. Repeat 2 more times so that all ingredients are used.
10. Sprinkle parmesan cheese on top.
11. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

This will make 6-8 servings.

Tip: I usually double the recipe and freeze one dish to use at a later time.

Either make a veggie you like, or make the salad your veggie.
What about Stuffed Bell Peppers. They are easy, the veggie is only on the outside, you can cover them in melty cheese (even anti-veggie people can't pass on melty cheese).
If they choose not to eat the bell pepper that's fine, and you haven't wasted alot of extra food.

This is so easy...go to the freezer section and get a few bags of that Bertolli stuff and throw some garlic toast in the oven. Serve it in a nice serving bowl and it will LOOK like it was challenging. Hide the garbage so no one knows! Serve with some nice red wine and a salad.

do they eat potatoes?
if so au gratin potatoes , and a steak then whats good and not a veg is you can poach some pears( peeled and cored) and poach them in port wine ( a good amount and some cran juice) add a cinnamon stick the pear turns red and looks very fancy!!

i think you should serve maybe a side of fruit or maybe just don't cook the vegetables like possibly mini carrots on the side with some steak and potatoes. Then for desert you should make something like a cherry cheesecake or strawberry short cake.
