I'm having a baby shower/get together tomorrow...?!

Question:

I'm having a baby shower/get together tomorrow...?

It's for males & females. We're ordering the Delahosa (sp?) fight towards the end. We're having wings, but what should we have to go with the wings. The rest of the menu include: chips and queso/dip, deviled eggs (I love), fruit and vegetable tray, salad, juices, and margaritas. What side item should I have to go with the wings? I've been thinking about fries, but fries get old after a while.

Answers:
well wings go good with good old blue cheese celery and carrots to tame the heat!! ( are the buffalo wings?? im doing a wild guess)
how about potatoe skins?? people love m and they will go fast top m with bacon cheese sour cream...yum ( im a pregnant hungry chick, so i can go on here...lol)
maybe wings and poppers......?.... im sure de la hoya would like that!! ha ha ha but i think the potatoe skins would be a good one

Cole Slaw?

Cole slaw; potato salad; or cheesy hasbrown casserole (easy if you want the recipie e-mail me)

I think what you have sounds good. I was gonna say celery sticks, but that'll probably be on your veggie tray. Just make sure you have some ranch or bleu cheese dip for the wings! Oh and maybe some beer too because some men don't like to drink 'ritas.

I'm making taquitos. It's roast beef shredded and rolled in a corn tortilla then fried. I make it easy by getting the roast beef in the can next to the tuna in the grocery store. You squeeze all the gravy out of the can though. Or if you're looking for something easier you could do nachos. Get a bag of tortilla chips and have bowls of beens, taco meat, tomatoes, green onions and nacho cheese. They can assemble their own. Yummy!

Have several different types of wings...such as lemon pepper, teriyaki, bar-b-q.

I wouldn't hurt to have some baby back ribs or a carved tri-tip roast. Also some smoked salmon could go with what you're serving. Add some corn-on-the-cop cobettes.

You are right about the fries but it wouldn't hurt to have some when you begin serving just don't have too many.

How about some jalapeno poppers?
They'd be fun and blend in with your existing menu nicely.
Have Fun!

Why not do potatoe skins or some other Mexican side like stuffed peppers...

Tortilla pinwheels

Mix cream cheese, green chile and shredded cheddar, spread on tortillas and roll up. Refrigerate until firm and then slice into 1" pieces.

Very yummy

pizza

Wings that are spicy need something to cool the flame.i like coleslaw with mine.If you are having ladies and men and want to get the guys full fast, how about chili or baked beans..hope it turns out great.....
