Before you leave to pick them up at the airport make a nice tossed salad, prepare french onion soup up to adding bread and cheese and a selection of fruit for desert!.

When you get home put french bread in individual bowls, pour onion broth over the bread and top with cheese!. As the soup heats in the oven you can put out the salad and fruit!.

Easy, quick, and helps rehydrate your family after the long flight!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like salads for situations like this!. If they are hungry, they can eat a lot of it!. If not, it can be served the next day!. What will make it delicious is what you put in it!. I like to marinate some chicken and grill it!. It will retain it's flavor!. Add a fruit!. Mandarin oranges or strawberries generally add flavor and color!. No iceburg lettuce!. It has no taste, nor nutrition!. Use some romaine or leaf lettuce!. Add some baby spinach leaves or kale for color and nutrition!. And a quality cheese shredded in it is always appreciated!. Make your own salad dressing using quality ingredients!. You will be amazed how using olive or grapeseed oil will change the flavor of a basic salad dressing!. And the best part of all of this!? It really is minimal work!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think one of the easiest things to make that will be both yummy and light (and easy to save for later if they're not hungry) is wraps!. A wrap is basically a salad with a good variety of salad fixin's, as well as some kind of meat - usually cut-up bits of roasted, seasoned chicken!. Make a nice mayonnaise dressing and mix it all up, then lay a "row" of the stuff in a soft tortilla!. Then you just wrap it up and enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com
