Unique, fun, themes for sweet 16?
I am having a sweet 16.
nothing BIG and outrageous like on mtv.
just around 25
close friends.
I would like a theme thats different...
or just cute.
but nothing thats been done [[over &&over]]?
any ideas.

Well, Hawaiian is cliche, so not that one. How about... A movie theme. Thats kind of cliche too, but that ones not as over done as the others.
go spend all day somewhere like an amusement park and then ride everything there even the kiddie rides.
i don't know, you probably think that's really lame. lol, it's the first thing i came up with...
have a good party!
do a rock n roll party, with everyone dressing up like a famous rocker from history.

or anyone from today, such as all american rejects or things like that.
Do a famous celebrity look alike theme.
have a party in a cafe with karoake
I wouldn't exactly suggest a party at home, unless it's a really cool theme, such as Vegas or Rock and Roll or something. I'd go with the amusement park idea. It's really fun, and have everyone pay for their tickets.
well considering its only 25 close friends...dependin on where you lived that you should go to a major city(NYC if you can) and go to a fun restaurant n spend the night in a hotel.
as far as themes for parties well you can go a few directions-
(jus dont go cinderella or hawaiin ..way too cliche)
80's theme- funky colors, dramatic make up, vinatage dresses
midsummer nights dream (thats what i was gona do)
fashion show

do a candy theme (sweet = candy, get it?). i'd do it just to get those personalized m&m's with your name on them.
beach, park, a little prom party?
Totally do a "Sixteen Candles Theme", from dressing up like the movie characters, to lots of pink decor to burning 16 candles to watching the flick itself!

dance party
sleepover
Shopping party
hang at the mall
etc...etc.
