Does this sound good for lunch tomorrow?!

Question:

Does this sound good for lunch tomorrow?

Tomorrow all of the in-laws are coming over for a get together. We made BBQ pulled pork in the crock pot for sandwiches, baked beans in another crock pot and macaroni salad. Does that sound like a good menu for lunch for everyone?

Answers:
Perfect
can I come?

sounds yummy!! you may want to have some antacids handy....just in case...BUT NOT FOR ME...what time should I pop in... lol

You might need a defribulator on-hand

Wow - that sounds really good! that's perfect, not too difficult and still really good/filling food. maybe just do a platter of "snacky" foods like pickles and cheese and olives and maybe some fruits.
otherwise sounds good as is.

MMmmmm! Sounds great! I love cooking BBQ of any kind. I am sure it will be a hit!

sounds very tasty. whats for dessert?

not if any of them are Jewish or Muslim-pork's a no-no...just be aware of everyones personal prefrences----

The only thing I would add is some strawberry lemonade but
It sounds delicious

It doesn't sound good to me, but if that's what they like, go for it.

If everyone eats pork than yes. I don't but since I am not invited than hey. If there is no pork in the beans and then there is mac salad than I could eat it too but like I said I am not invited to the get together so have whatever you want.

WHERE IS IT HELD I WILL BE OVER THERE WHEN IT STARTS. IT SOUNDS REALLY GOOD. WE HAVE THAT ALL THE TIME WHEN PEOPLE ARE COMING OVER.

sounds delish

That sounds yummy. What about potato salad and a dessert? ALso make a green salad for those who have dietary issues.

So what time is lunch and now do I get there?

Sounds wonderful & they'll know you put a lot into the thought of it. Have some rolls too....enjoy!!

Yum, what time shall we be there? Sounds good.. enjoy!

Awesome. Totally Awesome. Good Stuff

Just make sure there is a substitute for pork for those non pork eaters.

Sounds great!! Is there room for one more

It sounds amazing!!! Just don't forget the sliced onions, vlasic kosher pickles, fresh keiser rolls, fresh homemade tea, and the homemade bbq sauce.

Recipe for Homemade Tea:
In a med saucepan fill 3/4 w/ water and bring to boil. Remove from flame and steep 2 large bags of Luzianne tea. In a 4 qt pitcher squeeze about 10 yellow lemons or 10 large green limes (which ever you prefer), 2 cups sugar and stir together. Then add the tea mixture, fill the rest of the piture w/ water about 3/4's way and taste. You can adjust more sugar to taste. I guarantee that eveyone will love this tea. It tastes as if you brewed it out in the sun for hours.

Homemade Barbecue Sauce:
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups finely chopped onions
6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 1/4 teaspoons sweet paprika
2 teaspoons Essence, recipe follows
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
1 1/2 cups water
3/4 cup cider vinegar
6 tablespoons dark brown sugar
In a medium non-reactive saucepan set over medium-high heat, add the butter and, when melted, add the onions and cook until they are very soft, about 4 minutes. Add the garlic, paprika, Essence, ground mustard, salt, crushed red pepper, black pepper, and cayenne pepper and cook for 2 minutes. Add the tomato paste and cook, stirring frequently, for 2 minutes, or until the tomato paste begins to brown. Add the water, cider vinegar, and dark brown sugar, and stir to combine. Reduce the heat to low and cook until the sauce has thickened and the flavors have come together, about 15 to 20 minutes.

Set aside to cool before using. The sauce may be made up to 1 week in advance and refrigerated in an airtight, non-reactive container.

Yield: about 3 cups sauce

Definitely! A great menu! What time should I be there? LOL

potatoes salad

Oh yeah.....it sounds great.

Have some chips, and how about some deviled eggs too? Those are fairly easy to make.

whats for dessert..

Sounds good, but I would also have something lighter on the side - like a green salad or a raw veggie tray (cucumber, carrots, cauliflower, celery, et cetera). It brightens up the meal and helps folks digest a little easier!

Have fun!

Sounds great, what is for desert? Make it light to soften all the other goodies.
