Your guest should always be served first. After-all, isn't that why you invited them, to serve them a meal?
If there are children, they should get served first... if not then women first then men.

You should serve them the 1st ,2nd ,and 3rd time they come to your house to make them feel welcomed. After that they should be on there own.
