I want to throw a surprise party for my BFF. What should I do?!

Question:

I want to throw a surprise party for my BFF. What should I do?

She's 14 and a bit girly, yet she has a tomboy side too. I was planning on having a boy/girl party at my house. We were going to be outside with food and a bonfire. Music would be playing. How can I make sure she doesn't find out when I'm inviting almost 30 people? What's the best way to surprise her? What should I do to keep the guests entertained? Help please!!! I cannot let this party turn out bad.

Answers:
Well have her or your older brother or sister take her to a movie that she will like and during the movie, you can start with the decorations and party. Text all the people that are coming and tell them to park somewhere where it is not close by the house but not too far to walk. Have someone watch for the car that she will be coming back in so you can all get ready to surprise her. Hide behind the couch and have all the lights turned off and when she comes in the door, she or the brother or sister will turn on the light in the most common room (and have that the room where most of the party is) and right when they turn on the light, everyone jumps up from wherever they are hiding, and yells : SURPRISE!!!! If there is an XBOX or XBOX360 or PS or PS2 or PS3 or a gamecube or Wii or something like a gamestation, then that would really entertain the boys and possibly the girls. For the bonfire, (start it after she has gotten there) have marshmallows to roast, along with Hershey's (R) chocolate, Honey Maid (R) graham crackers, to go with the smores. you can also roast hot dogs along with it to have some fun. if there is a pool at the house, everyone could swim, that would be fun also. have soda and water available for the guests and some activities for them to enjoy NOTE: THE PARTY GIRL (YOUR BFF) NEEDS TO ENJOY HER TIME TOO. NOT JUST THE GUESTS. For the music, have songs that your bff like and the guests will like...something with a beat that will get the guests going. Aha! another idea! you could do dancing and if your bff has a bf then they could have a spotlight dance along with the other couples on the sides. if people are just sitting at the sides on the chairs, you get them together and dancing, i mean come on! its a party! get a cake and ballons and all that stuff. hm...I don't really know what else to say. I think I said all my ideas. For sure, your party will not turn out bad with these ideas. Also, invite your bff's friends not just people. HER FRIENDS!!! If you come up with any other ideas, like the ones that some other people answer, then you can add those to mine. Good Luck with the whole party thing!!

get decorations and suprise her

You can start by not calling her BFF anymore. Seriously.

male strippers and spin the bottle...

try contacting ppl by myspace it may be a lil easier just stress to everyone that its a suprise party and u may want to try some new released movies or something like a camping trip maybe have guest bring tents or something like that it could be fun

well just tell all the guest in there invite to please keep quite about it

You should get a friend to go somewhere with her while you get everything ready like get a friend to take her to the mall or something or tell them to go see a movie or play sick and when she comes over or calls tell her and once she leaves get everything ready.

fake her out... tell her its very important, like a major problem... then to the party.. the emotions would be high!!!

First of all, to keep it a secret you should use Evite.com to get the word out. Second, making it a theme party is always fun - and will keep people entertained. Some ideas are: 80's theme, tack sweater party (better at holiday time though), disco, toga, lots of options! Then you can match the decorations to go with the theme - and even give out a prize for the best costume! You'll have fun! And remember to have a costume on hand for her for when she shows up! :-)

Fun games like truth or dare Jenga, Taboo, or other group activity games will keep the conversation and laughter going if things slow down.

Wat is the party for?

Well, for a surprise party think of stuff she likes. For instance what kind of music does she like? What's her fave theme? Don't worry about guests beign entertained. They will entertain themselves. Make sure to invite people that get along together and are not enemies. You can't really stop people from not keeping their mouths shut so do worry about that. Focus on the party. Don't sweat about surprising her, just don't even hint that you are throwing a party. She should be surprised at what you went through to give her a party! Good Luck with making a great party!

Bascically don't try to plan it too much, the more organized the party the less fun it tends to be, just make sure you have a cd player and your pretty much good to go. And make sure in advance NO ONE is to let it slip to the lucky girl, but inevitably it will, so just make sure its super great party and with a bonfire you pretty much can't go wrong, just make sure you have enough marshmellows. Good luck!
