Question:

How do you organise a reall good party for your 15 year old child?

Answers:
First make sure you know what will make your kid happy as far as decorations, foods, etc....and make sure you are planning it for them and not you.
Does your child want a dance, is so you need a place big enough and need to decide on a DJ or have someone who will man the stereo all night.
Are you planning on serving a sit down dinner or buffet? It can be as simple as pizza and pop. You could grill out.
You could call your local hotels and see about renting out their pool, most will give you a discount on a room so the kids have someplace to change and you can have treats and maybe do the cake there.
What about bowling or mini golf or a skating party?

It would help if we knew whether it was for a boy or girl.

Don't go overboard on decorations. Actually, only the cake should really be decorated.

Cheaper than a DJ and easier than manning a stereo is putting together a playlist on iTunes and conecting your computer up to your stereo. If it's a dance, have some pizza and/or hotwings along with pop around.

If it is warm where you are (it's about 80 degrees here), a party at the beach or lake is great. Then just grill some burgers and hotdogs (or bratwurst).

Invite lots of friends, provide a large area for the party, have some music, order lots of pizza, chips and soda and they'll have their own party. Just keep a close watch from a discreet distance. If you have the space a bonfire with hot dogs etc is also good, again keep a discreet distance but make your presence known.

Just make your child actively involved in the party... Have what they want.. because they know the kinds of things that will make there friends enjoy the party too.. 15 is getting old for the party games and loot games but you could rent a variety of gaming systems like PS3, Wii, X360 and different games (if that kind of thing interests your 15 year old) or for something more girly.. have a professional come over and do manicures or pedicures makes the girls feel like princesses.. they will love it!
