Ideas for a Cicada celebration?

I'm trying to think of fun things to do to celebrat the emergence of the 17 year Cicadas here in the midwest. I want to make up tee shirts, but I need other ideas.

Party favors???

Food? NO, I do NOT want to eat the bugs...but what food can I get that would be in the same theme?

A bbq with food that resembles bugs. like celery, peanut butter, and raisians for Ants on a log. Or use two pretzels instead of raisians for Butterflies.

for party favors find those candies that were shaped like bugs and then you got to use the holder as a bug catcher. And use butterfly nets for the bags. Find binoculars* and that kind of stuff. It'd be cute.
