Any suggestions for a night party theme?
I am planning a party on 23rd of May, 7 to 10 at night, out side- there is a pool. I am going to have 12 people including me and I want it to be a formally dressed-up party, almost like prom. the reason that i am having it on wed. is that we're seniors and we won't go to school anymore a week from today.
I want to have a theme and i've searched through the internet, but all i can find is either casino or hollywood night. i guess these are alright, but i want something brilliant and unusual.
any ideas?

Since it is at night around a pool, I would suggest something like, retro glam. Send out embellished invitations and suggest your guests wear fashions reminiscent of the 30's and 40's. Target has a of of cute retro accessories for ladies. I have send the slim slacks at the mall ( for the men) with a nice hat and ascot. You could decorate with a lot of the large chandelier crystals and fur boas............

Have a James Bond theme party, and have a poker tournament
and classy refreshments

its about going away, so a trip down memory lane would not be a bad idea.
