That sounds fun. We used to play a game called "can you top this". you break off into teams of 3 or 4 people, everyone gets 50 cents. Then you go around the neighborhood, knock on people's doors, and see if they can give you something worth more than 50 cents that they don't mind parting with. Then you take that to the next house, and repeat until you are happy with what you've got. The team with the coolest acquisition at the end wins. It's a bit arbitrary of course, so you'll have to figure out amongst yourselves who came back with the coolest article.

We had people come back with absolutely insane stuff ... dishwasher, entire set of encyclopedia, jalopy ... it's really fun and completely different.

FINDING NEMO THEME....lol, then watch the movie cause its awesome.....

I say Go for the Nancy Drew party and go see the movie.

That sounds like a lot of fun! Instead of calling it a "Treasure hunt", call it a mystery hunt and take pictures. Have clues like take a picture with Jack ( Jack in the Box), go to a store and take a group picture with Dr. Pepper. The last one could end at your home where you could have cake and ice cream. If you want to do more you could put the pics in a scrapbook, have each of you guests pick a picture and have them decorate a page. It will always be a fun memory!
Happy Birthday!!!

The theme you've got is a great idea, but here's something to go along with it.

I recently attended a party for a friend of mine and she had planned an activity that went something like this....

Step One: Make a list a completely random items, i.e. Blueberry Muffin, Ruler, Pen, Hair Clip.
Step Two: Divide into teams, two is best but it can be done with more.
Step Three: Copy you list of items so that both teams have the same list.
Step Four: Set up a time limit. 30-45 minutes is usually good.
Step Five: Head out into your neighborhood and knock on people's doors asking if they have items from your list. Each team has to go a seperate route than the other team. Example: Once out of your front door Team A goes left, Team B goes right.
Step Six: Once the time limit is up, have both teams meet back at your house. Whoever has the most items from the list wins!

Prize ideas: Winning team gets the first slices of cake, first whack at the pi?ata, or to fit your theme, maybe a little magnifying glass.

Have fun at your party and happy birthday!
