Question: I'm hosting a Tuscan themed alfresco dinner party for 60 guests in the evening!. Should I stick with one type!?
of salad or should I make a couple of different salads and let the guests choose!. I will be serving Chicken Vesuvio, Wine Braised Pork Roast, Mashed Potatoes and Roasted Root Vegetables!. My salad choices are a Caprese Salad (sliced tomatoes & fresh mozzarella with olive oil drizzled over it; sprinkled with fresh basil), Greek Salad and Caesar Salad!. I can make all or one, what would you do!?
For dessert we are having Flourless Chocolate Tortes with a chocolate glaze and Apple Walnut Torte with Caramel Rum Sauce!. The party will be in September!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your menu sounds so delicious!

To answer your question, I would serve the Caprese salad and the Caesar salad and skip the Greek salad!.

My reasoning is that one is a tomato based salad(which I love but maybe not everyone is crazy for) and one is a lettuce based salad(basic)!. I love a good Greek salad but I don't think it quite fits the theme!.

If my husband and I went to your party, I would choose the Caprese and he would choose the Caesar!. It's nice to have a bit of a choice!

Have fun!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You have a fabulous meal going there!.!.!. 2 meats, a staple, a vegetable and 2 desserts!.!.!.In my opinion!.!.!. unless you have a second person helping you I would stick with the Caprese Salad and for something different get some bagged spring greens mix add 1 inch cubes of watermelon and toss with a Honey Dijon Vinaigrette dressing!. Its light and does not take away from any of the other flavors!.!.!. and always a hit at my parties, teas and Holiday gatherings!.!. Happy Cooking and have fun entertaining!.!.!. I always do!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
