Question:

What should I bring to the picnic/cookout today?

I'm going to a picnic. I have ot pack lunch for me and my boyfriend. I don't know what to take.

Answers:
these days you don't have to worry about food spoiling, what, with all the products available for keeping things cold for hours while traveling.

I love the original picnic foods:

cold fried chicken
potato salad
watermelon
iced tea

turkery sandwich pickle potatoes chips

It depends on how long your are out there. Like don't pack anything with mayo or it will spoil in the sun and make your stomach hurt. Try to bring Fruits and sandwhichs with honey mustard. and chips

I do these all the time and they are perfect with sliced fruit on the side:

Ham And Cheese Tortilla

Ingredients:
1 package (8 ounce size) cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
1 tablespoon Freeze-Dried Chives
1 tablespoon Parsley Flakes
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Pepper
1/4 teaspoon Dill Weed
1/8 teaspoon Thyme Leaves
5 round flour tortillas (6-inch size)
5 slices cooked ham, smoked turkey, or roast beef
3 green onions, green part only

Prep:
In medium bowl, mix cream cheese and butter until well combined and fluffy. Add chives, parsley, garlic pepper, dill, and thyme. Beat well. Cover and refrigerate 3 to 4 hours or overnight.

Remove mixture from refrigerator and let stand until soft enough to spread.

Place tortillas on work surface. Set aside 1 tablespoon cheese mixture in small bowl. Spread remaining cheese mixture on tortillas and top with slice of meat.

Cut ten 6-inch pieces of scallion and place 2 pieces at 1 edge of each tortilla. Starting at edge of tortillas where scallion is placed, roll tortillas and seal edges of rolls with reserved cheese mixture.

Cut each tortilla roll into 3/4-inch slices and arrange on serving dish. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

pasta salad, potato salad, po boy sandwich,
chips, fresh fruit include cantaloupe or watermelon, if cooking out make burgers, hot dogs, steaks, kabobs- shrimp, chicken, beef or pork, take fresh cut up veggies to munch on, fresh strawberries to munch on,
or you could just take what ever your favorite foods are.

One of our favorites--and definitely a classic--is fried chicken. Try the prepared foods section of your local market or deli. Then add some healthy finger foods, like hummus and whole wheat pita, fresh fruit salad or tortilla chips and salsa.

Ok first get a cute little picnic blanket and basket for you and your bf. Then make cute little italian sandwichs with an olive and toothpick. Then bring your favorite kind of potato chips. Then get some gum and throw it in there just in case. You can also bring a soda you can share with 2 straws. Also bring some homeade frenhfries and cherries.
