Dude, so not worth it!.
Two years ago my parents went out of town for 3 days, the last night they were gone I had a party!. It started out small, just a few close friends, but things got REALLY out of hand!. We ended up with a lot of things stolen and a lot of damage (a little over $3000 worth of stolen goods and damage)!. My parents came home the next day, I had cleaned the house but still couldnt hide the fact that stuff was missing and broken!. They called the police, who sat me down for a good two hours basically just drilling me with questions!. The cop then informed my parents that the police cant do anything because, if they were to look in to who stole the items they would then have to address the fact that my parents left a minor (me) alone in a house where underage drinking (not to mention other drugs, as I found afterword) was taking place!. My parents could have actually been sued by the city for something that was my fault!.
It was a huge mistake and I would not reccomend any one else putting themselves in that position!. Some of the goods that were stolen were family heirlooms that have been with my family for generations, I still cant forgive myself for being responsible for them being gone!.
Just take it from someone whos been there!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Be careful of who you invite!. These things can quickly escalate with people not giving a flying crap about keeping your carpet clean or your valuables safe!. If there will be any sort of drinking- Im assuming punch since you are under the age of 21- keep it on the back porch!. A carpet always shows signs of parties!.
Seal off rooms!. Keep doors closed and take out the lightbulbs in all the private rooms and put a chair in the doorway hidden in the dark!. This way people are less likely to go in there and if they do they will trip alerting either you or a trust-worthy friend of what they are up to!.
Lock up valuables!. Hide away anything that can break easily or cannot be replaced!. Dont let anyone smoke indoors!. It lingers in the air and gets into the fabric of couches!. Make sure to set up different trash cans to encourage people to throw away their trash!. Leave only the main bathroom open!. Clean it at the end of the night and throw away the bathroom trash- always an indicator to parents on uninvited guests!. Sweep and mop the floors even if it doesnt look dirty to you unless it was dirty in the first place!.
also if you have a pool check at the end of the night if any debris got chucked in there!. Got busted for a party when I was 17 for that!.
And I feel inclined to add that the hardest part isnt keeping the place clean!. The hardest part is the sneaking around, keeping quiet so not to violate any noise ordinances or having the neighbors tell on you, placating the police who invariably show up when they see multiple cars parked near a house, and keeping alchohol/drugs out of it!. So you might want to make other plans!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

From the sounds of this, you are planning to have a party that your parents don't know about!? Bad idea - for a lot of reasons!. Firstly, because it will be unchaperoned!. Secondly because unchaperoned house parties tend to get swarmed - you're apt to get dozens or even hundreds of kids turning up - people you don't even know and whose behavior you can't control!. It's just a recipe for disaster - and it will certainly make your parents lose faith in you!. And likely ground you until you are 21!.
Better idea is to ask them for permission, ask their help in planning, and ensure that, if they can't be there, another responsible adult will be!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, and please invite me and Chet!. I promise we won't wreck your mom's oven like we did at that other guys place!. And we won't even take all the socks from your father's dresser and use them to back up the toilets!. And Chet told me he promises not to take a leak inside your refrigerator!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
