That's a lot of people to cook for. So to keep costs down, why not make finger sandwiches, little smokies on skewers with pineapple, fruit kebobs, pasta and potato salad (though keep chilled), several types of chips and some yummy desserts. And have you thought about making it potluck? That would really help. Someone could bring over their grill to help with the number of people. At least with a potluck, you can have more meat options like burgers, dogs and BBQ chicken.

buy cheap hot dogs and burgers and chicken if want
and make cans of bush baked beans the large size
make potato salad and pasta salad try to keep it cheap
and corn on the cob

hot dogs or burgers and for the side potato chips.....

have lots and lots of salad...macaroni salad, garden salad, ceasar salad, potato salad, fruit salad.....etc.
nachos are good too.

chips salad dip

If you have access to a Sam's club or WalMart, buy precooked frozen meatballs. Put in a crock pot with a bottle of 16 oz. chili sauce and a jar of grape jelly heat on low for at least 3 hours. I just did 32 this way. You could double up.

Also, grilled sausage with hot dog buns, onions, mustard, sauerkraut. Chips and dips. Pasta salads, deviled eggs.
I'd suggest asking a few people to bring their favorite dishes and ask some to chip in for sausage. Brownies and ice pops.

get 10 things of Potato salad.Make hot dogs or have chicken.Serve ice cream and punch. Also chips and dip,get party platters, etc.

you can u cheese sticks or bagel pizza's for appetizers!
nd a bar b q is good but dnt get too fancy for a pool party use finger food..... Good Luck =]

you don't want to eat real heavy if you are going to be swimming, so I think I would go with finger foods like fresh fruit ,chips and dips, something like 7 layer dip ( re fried beans, hamburger, sour cream, cheese, salsa, corn tortilla chips, avocado) or what ever you like on it, keep it simple because you don't want to be stuck in the kitchen while everyone else it at the pool, its easy clean up too.

get some pizza, slice it up into mini pieces, make a sub, do the same and get lotsa soda!!! i just had my pool party yesterday. still cleaning up though, some ppl slept over.

Serve different kinds of salsa such as mango, tomato, even a green salsa. Most stores carry different colored tortilla chips.
BBQ different kinds of hot dogs, polish, kielbasa, veggie, smoked there are a lot of different ones. Also have all the fixings, like sour kraut, chili, cheese, pickle relish, mustard's (brown, Honey, Dijon, yellow) Pickles and whatever can can think of be creative.
