We need ideas for an outside party with a mystical theme.
The party is only from 5-11, so with this in mind ....
We are having cook out, bomb fire, swimming, music..............
Need ideas for decorating as well as set up for the food and such..........................

With the outdoor cooking, bond fire, swimming, I would do a luau. You could make flowered lays by stringing flowers together, have a menu with pineapple and plenty of fresh fruit included in it, along with Hawaiian music.

Go with mermaids, check on-line for costume and decoration ideas! Sounds like fun, also you can do the little white lights out by the pool or the tiki torches. Oh and a bubble machine believe it or not the bubble machine is where its at! Target has a really good one, not the character ones. Sounds like its going to be fun!

I created a star themed wedding and we needed lots of fun atmosphere. We had cake with pop rocks on top (little surprise for the guests). We put battery operated lights inside glass bowls and covered them with bubble wrap. This gave a cool outerspace twinkle. We painted tree branches cut from trees and put in plaster bases all sorts of astro colors like lavendar, blue, white, grey. They looked neat and just a little ethereal. You could also hang a wall of twinkly lights like they do in malls at Christmastime. This would look mystical. Wispy, gauzy fabric could hang as natural curtains or backdrops. Glow sticks in bowls of dry ice give off a nice glow. So many things you can do.....have a blast! Happy 16th!
