Answers:
How about a pot of dirt with creepy crawlies?
Just get those little cheap clay pots for gardening and make your students crush oreos cookies (the dirt part) in them and decorate with gummi worms. :)

spider cookies are easy...you take peanut butter and chocolate chips and melt them...then you toss in chowman noodle thingys....make lumps put them in the fridge and then serve when solid.

Lots, go to verybestbaker.com (nestle's site) and look at all the cute ideas they have that are so simple your second grader can help.

Ghost CupCakes! lol, maybe you could have bobbing for apples? thats what I had in 3rd grade, you could have arts and crafts and idk what else...............

Check out the Better Homes and Gardens site at bhg.com. They have some amazing ideas for fun snacks, along with fun Halloween themed ideas!

one thing for a treat would be, I can't remember the name of it, there were these suckers that had fissy stuff in the middle, I found them at the store. holloween games you ask? I suggest a costume contest.

CANDY

I have a 4 & 5 year old and they love to take apples on sticks (like you would for carameled apples) and dip them into melted white chocolate (you may have to help with this) and then let them put spooky candy "faces" on them. Then, they have not only got a nice treat but they get the satisfaction of doing it themselves also. It's really simple and fairly inexpensive ecspecially if u use almond bark and parafain wax. I have listed step by step how u do it. You may try it at home first.

1. put sticks in apples (this can be done the night before)
2. melt almond bark & parafain together
3. dip apples in almond
4. let children put candy on (gumdrops, candycorn, whatever u want to use)
5. Eat and Enjoy

No matter WHAT you are thinking of making, please, ask the teacher first if any of the kids have any food allergies. I can tell you two quick stories about this, both happened at my daughter's school parties: one little girl had to be rushed to the ER because of a severe allergy to nuts (which were in some brownies she ate)....the second was a child who had NOTHING to snack on because of her allergy to chocolate (which she knew she was allergic to), and every single one of the snacks had chocolate either in it or on it.

The teacher should know if any of her/his students have allergies, so, just make a quick phone call or send an email beforehand, so that you can be sure that whatever you make can be enjoyed by everyone!

cup cake

A great Halloween games is get inexpensive toilet paper and have the kids split into groups and have one child in the middle and the rest on the out side. have the child in the middle spin while the others try to cover them in toilet paper to be a mummy. I did it with 2nd graders and they loved it. It was alot of fun.
