do a pretty Italian look- like Tuscany!. have sunflowers and wildflowers for centerpieces in a glass vase tied bow with raffia, candles of course!. bowls of red and green grapes also!. find some golden, browns, terra cotta colors, or orange colored table cloths or large pieces of fabric to drape over tables, chairs- anything!. right now is a perfect time to find stuff since fall decorations are out in stores!. white christmas lights hung in the trees for a really pretty look at night!. of course bottles of wine with cheeses to go with and pasta as the main dish!. maybe an archway decorated in grapevines!. potted plants in corners, topiaries!. find some Italian music to play also!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I had an Italian themed party for my husbands Birthday, and it turned out wonderful!. Here are some of the things I did!.

Sent Italian themed invitation cards
Printed my menu on a pretty paper and had them laminated then used them for place mats!. Guest took these home to remember the party by!.
Typed and printed a wine list and put those clear plastic stands to display as part of the table decor!.
I made a restaurant board sign trimmed with grape vines, and white lights denoting our home as "Allen's restaurante" and listed our daily specials!.
The sign was lit up on the table where I had my antipasto along with wine bottles with candles, carafts with flavored oils, bowls to dip bread in the oils, etc!.
Of course fun Italian music in the back ground!.
My menu was:
Cheese tortillini in a light chicken broth with fresh parmesan cheese and parsley
Pork milanese
Chicken piccata
Spaghetti and meat balls
Vendure Al Forno (Giada recipe on food network)
Potatos Da Del Fino ( Michael Chiarello food network)
Fresh berries with mascarpone cheese and nutella
coffee and wine!.

For my party I used beautiful burgandy material for table cloths, with white china and lots of grapes, wine bottles, and greenery!. This to me looked much more elegant than red and white!. Food was served family style - everyone passing the dishes around!. It was one of the best parties we ever had!.

Hope I gave you some ideas - have fun!Www@FoodAQ@Com
