Take a box of Grape Nuts and keep adding confectioner's sugar (the powdery stuff) under it looks gray, like kitty litter. Pour into a cake pan and add Tootsie rolls and/or Baby Ruths.

Well, depending on where you live, you could ahe a Hay-ride! That's what I'm doing for my B-Day party and Im 16 LOL or you could put up lots of decorations and turn your house into a kind of haunted house (or you garage) Get a big black witches coldroun (i don't know how to spell that LOL) and put water and dry ice in it....they have the couldrons at Wal-mart! have a costume contest! Tell ghost stories! When we were in 3rd grade my friend had a Halloween Party, an she told a story about a guy in a haunted house down the street and said they found him dead in the house and passed around his "body parts". We closed our eyes and felt them in the baggy. She used a cut up hot dog for the nose, spaghetti for the intestines, carrots for fingers. Good Luck! And Happy Halloween!

rent a bouncer, they are always party winners!! Maybe buy a bag of small pumpkins and face "parts" and let them decorate their own pumpkin.

I had one last year for my son and the kids still talk about it.
1) I bought silly string and let them go in the backyard and spray each other with it. (that was fun!), I participated.

2) I bought little pumpkins and they decorated it.( I got lots of stuff from oriental trading) feathers, yarn, etc.

3)I had them make caramel apples. (Supervised of course.)

4) Had pizza delivered, served red fruit punch eith those gummy eyeballs floating in it, had caramel popcorn and added gummy worms, chocolate chips, and oroe cookis crumbs,Orange Soda, Coca cola. And lots of candy around.

5) gave prizes for best pumpkin(there were also conselation(?) prizes for the not so best ones.

6) And then I ordered scary movies from optimum and then left them alone.

Halloween parties are so much fun. Do apple dunking contests also best custume of course and I love the pie eating contest. If you get some of those small pie shells like you use for tarts just the right size for a pie eating contest. Fill shells up with coolwhip any flavor. Most kids like the chocolate, but you should have the white also some kids cant eat chocolate. Tie their hands behind their backs and the first one to eat the whole pie wins. Messy but fun. You might concider fixing up one room so that its kind of spooky and bring a small group of kids at a time in the room, make sure the room is very dimly lit then tell them the story about poor old John who was chopped up in that room. Of course most of them will go no and you say yes I found some body parts. Go to the store and ask the butcher for a bone like a leg bone and get some liver and peeled grapes for his eyeballs. You can have someone play the part of a witch and have them stiring a pot in which you pull out the body parts you hold each one one at a time in your hand and have each kid feel what you have in your hand and have the witch be repeating poor old John had it comming or something like that. Or you can have someone hiding in the closet and have them jump out at them yelling Now its your turn.
Hope that helped. Have fun!
