What is petamange?!

Question:

What is petamange?

Mentioned in a joke in today`s Countdown

Answers:
As previously mentioned, mange is French for "to eat" and of course peta is "People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals" so there for petamange is the eating of endangered and / or mistreated animals.

And they're tasty too!
(let's not get too serious here, ok?)

it was a play on words, pret-a-manger is the restaurant, pet-a-mange , mange meaning eat in french pet being the goldfish

Absolutely no idea - checked the dictionary, checked on line, checked the encyclopedia - nothing! sure it's spelt right???

"Pret a mange" means "ready to eat" - remember the film title "Pret a porter" meaning "ready to wear"?

So we now know "pret a" means "ready to" ... life should be so much easier now!

Pret A Manger

Ready to Eat

As in the Sandwich Bar Chain

You mean Pret a manger & its a coffe shop/sandwich bar.

A dog called Peta with a bad skin/fur complaint
