Question:

Halloween and a menu?

As the time for celebrating the dead arrives.

What menu would you put together for a group of friends?

One stipulation is has to be in the spirit of the festival using things like Pumkins, Squash and all the other goodies which are associated with the holiday.

Answers:
cobwebs made of cotton candy and spiders made of licorice.

im unsure but it would have to have orange and black in it as they are the main colours for halloween

i think you could make soup using the squash and pumpkin and some other veg.you could add tomato puree and say it blood soup you could also make meat balls with mashed sweet potatoes and say it eye balls ....hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Start it with pumpkin soup...

Dont know about a main course..

If it was me (and it depends how posh your meal is!) i'd end it with eccles cakes... (why? Cos i was brought up knowing them as 'Flies' Graveyards! lol. You could always add orange or green food colouring to the cream to go with them!!)

Another way to have the pumpkin is to roast it and have pumpkin risotto. Super yummy and not as boring as soup.

Pumpkin Soup
Tempura Festive Veggies with a sweet chilli dip (ie pumkins . squash) with flavoured rice!
Any pudding you can squeeze blood red strawberry sauce on!

I'd casserole a human head for a start - All the goodness really comes out into the stew.
A great finger buffet idea should include real fingers - Deep fat fried in breadcrumbs.
The pumpkin idea is a bit stale now, I'd add a few live worms, and a dead rat for good measure. Also the boiled blood of a stray dog is a great drink to wash all the delicacy's down the throat...

make pumpkin pie, cut the top off scoop out the middle and when your soup is ready us the pumpkin to serve as a bowl!

How about stuffed acorn squash filled with rice or quinoa and chopped veggies? There are many variations online.
