Question:

What can I do for my husband's 29th birthday in July???

I want to throw a party for him but am not quite sure what to do. He likes golf... likes beer... likes Mexican food...

All I can think of is a golf-themed party with a taco bar and beer - lol

I think ya'll need a FIESTA!!!! Forget Golf :P A taco bar is a great idea, and easy to feed alot of people. Borrow a couple of deep fryers and make your own sopapias, totally easy and fun (get honey and powdered sugar for them). Get a varity of Mexican beers for the party and put them on ice all over the yard (be careful to have them out of reach of the kids though). Get pinatas with crazy stuff like golf tees, balls, candy, gift cards to Taco Bell, etc. If the little kids are old enough, have a pinata for them too. Get some spanish party music and a big sombrero for your husband to wear. Teach everyone a silly spanish dance and have fun. Oh, I want to come, this sounds like a blast :)

You could always have a mariachi band follow him around the course on the beer cart!!

Interesting combo! :) I believe party stores rent those little putting greens. You could make a game out of it with all the guests. Like make a little miniature golf course. And teams. After every round put something on the stretch, like a coffee can with both ends cut out, something to have to navigate. That would be so much fun! And the taco bar sounds fantastic and do-it-yourself instead of a caterer.

You're on the right track!

Why not throw him a Mexican siesta outside in your backyard. You could decorate with sombreros, the colorful Mexican throws, and use the umbrellas with beer logos on them. Also use a beer keg for the beer. You can also rent a Margarita machine. Prepare tacos, tapas, Mexican rice, enchiladas, empenadas, and flan for dessert. Have everybody dress in authentic Mexican attire. As far as the golf, look online or at the library and see if you can find some games to play that incorporate gold clubs, tees, etc., and play them at the party.

Hope this helps!

Wow...fun! A golf themed party with Mexican food would be killer! Have a "beer bar" (like a wine bar) with different brands of beer...(with even a beer "tasting"!!!)....a pool for the kids...maybe some fun games like "dizzy bat" (even funnier when grown ups play it...especially after a couple of beers!)...horseshoes, a putting "green"(anchor bright colored cups in the ground at various spots, and challenge kids and adults alike to see how many "hole in ones" they can get...)give little prizes (Like gigantic lollipops for the little ones.)..fireworks at the end of the evening (with giant sparklers for the kids!)...and you've got one heck of a party!
