What should I serve at a Sex And The City party?
I am planning a SATC party for my girlfriends where we watch all the episodes. What kind of food should I serve?

that show is lousy...not worthy of a party
Cheese - I recommend Brie with some sort of fruit compote on top (peach is good). You can also do strips or cubes of common cheeses like mild cheddar, monterey jack, etc. Don't use anything spicy (like spicy jack) or bitter (like swiss).
Meat - I recommend a mild sausage (cut into cubes the same as the cheese). The ratio of meat to cheese should be 1:3 so for every cube of meat, have 3 cubes of cheese. This is for bulk.
Crackers - Water crackers with little or no salt. Ritz are fine (use low sodium Ritz) but not saltines (obviously). People will eat the crackers alone or with the cheese/meat.
Wine - This is really open ended. You can get anything you want. Find out what people like (reds, whites, sparkling, etc). Have a decent variety (mix merlot, syrah, cab, zin, etc.) so people don't just drink the same thing. I like having a "ringer" that everyone talks about. A bottle or two of some highly rated wine that makes the crowd go "WOW!". Prices don't matter and neither do labels, just don't buy cheap crap - people can always spot that. If you have already watched all of the SATC episodes, then you should remember her book party. I only remember parts of it, but there were cute appetizers and pink cake that were part of the party. If you have a chance to look at that episode then I would suggest using some of those ideas. You should also have a pink party theme and serve cosmopolitans.

You could make cookies in the shape of high heels and put pink frosting on them - very cute.
You could also serve pigs-in-a-blanket and make the comment that this is exactly where men belong on a night like this, tied up and bound so it's just us women (I know, it's a stretch).
You could also serve tea and little cakes.
You could also throw in a coney island ice tea (which is a spin-off from a long island ice tea and appears in an episode where miranda gets wasted off the said drink). I'm not sure on the name of the drink though, you might want to look further into it.

do a fondue with vegetables and mini hotdogs to dip into it or garlic bread sticks
baked brie stuffed with garlic and rosemary. its so easy to do just bake the brie on low for 20 min and put a few cloves of garlic in it and sprinkle rosemary on it, its delicious! and so easy! serve with fancy breads, people will love it! I'm so jealous i wish i was going!
