Try this, it's super easy, and delicious. And, it doesn't require any cooking!
Ingredients to purchase:
-block of cream cheese (you can use reduced fat if you are weight conscious)
-one tomato
-scallions (green onions, chives)
-one container of Basil Pesto. This is found in the isle with the spaghetti sauce.
Let the cream cheese sit out for a few minutes, then take a serving plate, spread the cheese evenly over the entire surface of the plate.
Open the jar of basil pesto spread and spread it lightly over the top of the cream cheese. Don't cover it, pesto is strong stuff. Just a light coating over the majority of the cheese.
Chop up the tomatoes into tiny squares. Use an absorbent paper towel to blot off the excess water from the tomatoes. After you get the water off, scatter the tomatos across the cheese and pesto. Again, it doesn't have to completely cover the cheese, but half a tomato should be enough, depending on the size of your serving plate.
Chop the green onion or chives, and sprinkly over the plate. The ratio of onions to everything else should be much smaller, but they do add a wonderful flavor, so make sure there are enough here and there.
Now, set out a bowl of hearty crackers (something that won't break easily. Wheat thins are good -
Super easy, and tastes SO good. Everyone will love it.

I'm bringing carrot cake for my office halloween potluck. I'm going to decorate it in a very scary way. I don't know how yet, but I'll make green icing and orange icing and maybe get some candies to put on it. I'll think of something.
Hummus or dip in a bread bowl? Or baked beans? Or a cold pasta salad?
Here's an easy salad, and all you will need to cook will be the noodles.
6 cups cooked Multi colored Rotini (corkscrew) Noodles
2 lbs 1/4" thick sliced turkey from the deli department
2 regular size bottles Ranch dressing(using premade ranch will avoid the worry of homemade dressing going sour while on a buffet table)
1 6-8oz can of store brand unsalted cashews
Dice turkey into bite size pieces.
In large bowl, mix one of the bottles of ranch dressing, with all the other ingredients. Cover and refrigerate overnite.
In the morning, before work, stir the salad, and add more ranch if it appears dry. (The pasta and cashews will absorb alot of dressing during the nite)
If time and budget permits:
You can add chopped celery if you wish, and a drained can of peas.
Chopped red onion is a great addition, but many prefer not to eat onions at work.
Quick note - With so many people watching their salt intake, and some with pepper allergies, this is a great salad that will appeal to a wider group of guests. You may want to use Fat Free Ranch, and while it does still have a good flavor, the pasta may end up looking a little slimy, since the dressing will only coat, and not absorb into the noodles.
Salami Roll-ups (very simple) Buy 8" flour tortillas, onion-chive soft cream cheese in a tub, and hard salami. Spread each tortilla with the cheese, then place a thin layer of salami slices. Roll them up & wrap in plastic wrap. When they are chilled, slice about 1" thick and arrange cut side up on a platter.
I guarantee they'll love them!
Bring Dessert. I suggest cheesecake. People LOVE cheesecake and they will always remember you because of this .
Everyone will smile and you'll be in the good books for a long time!
