I need ideals for over the hill party.?!

Question:

I need ideals for over the hill party.?

Answers:
How about not embarrassing the person by doing this kind of ( over done ) party? Why not do something a little classier that he/she will have fond memories of. This site below will give you many different ideas for this party.

well when i through a party for my mom's 50th bday last year i got black balloons and decorated the whole place with black stuff like grim reapers and gravestones to represent death and stuff like that but it was all fun and games nothing that would piss her off or anything and she enjoyed it. But if the person you are throwing this for has no sense of humor than the whole death thing might not be a good idea oh and i put gravestones with r.ip. on her cake as well hope that helps

They even have plates and napkins/serviettes with "over the hill" written on them. If you were really meaning food ideas, any kind of snacky things would do. If the birthday honoree can take a joke, set out a dish pf dried prunes with all the other food.

See if you can find foods that were popular when this person was a kid. That might be a fun theme for your food: nostalgia.

Hide the dentures. Identify that smell. Stretch mark scavenger hunt. All are loads of fun.

Well, how about this? Decorate with all BLACK balloons and streamers. Then look for little novelty items like-- little plastic coffins, and those little plastic 'confetti' numbers spread around on the tables (like the # 50 if he's gonna be 50, etc). See if you can borrow a wheelchair or a walker. Ask if any of your friends have a wig or a toupee you could borrow. Instead of buying soda or beer, buy prune juice. Give out little certificates for things like -- one free box of Depends -- a tube of Poli-Grip-- free hearing aid batteries -- and one thing I always see a lot of older retirees wear up here in the north woods of Minnesota- a Blaze Orange Deer Hunter's cap, complete with ear flaps!! (Remember the movie "Grumpy Old Men"?) Well, you get the idea. And have fun with it!!!

Party supplies store often rent small bridges. I would rent one of those and cover it in AstroTurf (available very cheaply at most garden stores). Put it by the door so as guests enter they go "over the hill." Hope this helps!

Do a "stone age" theme.
