I am going on a beach vacation and each couple makes one dinner for everyone else...?!
I need a recipe that is memorable, gourmet, spicy, and 'wow' that serves 16!. Any suggestions!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

As long as y'all like spicy, then this is the absolutely BEST pasta sauce you'll ever taste! (and easy to do) !.!.!. even the name is "spicy" - lol!. Puttanesca is "hooker" in Italian, and it supposedly got it's name because the ladies of the night would have time to make it between "johns":)
Caprese Salad !.!.!. Antipasto platter
Garlic Bread or bread sticks
PUTTANESCA SAUCE
5 TB!. extra virgin olive oil
1-2 to 1 tsp!. red pepper flakes
1 chopped onion
2-6 crushed garlic cloves
3-6 chopped flat anchovy filets (it won't taste "fishy")
3 14-oz!. cans Italian plum tomatoes, smashed (or crushed tomatoes)
1-2 c!. sliced, pitted kalamata olives
1-2 TB!. capers
cooked pasta (I use 1 pkg!. penne, mostaciolli or rigatoni)
Heat oil in large skilled and add onion, garlic, pepper flakes & anchovies!. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat, for about 2-3 min (or until anchovies are disintegrated)!. Raise heat to high and add tomatoes!. Cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened (about 15-20 min)!. Add olives and capers!. Season with salt & pepper, if desired!. Add sauce to cooked pasta, tossing well to coat evenly !.!.!.!.!.!. You may want to double this recipe for 16 people!.!.!.!.!.
This isn't an Italian dessert, but the citrus is a nice cleansing flavor after the robust flavors of the pasta:
LEMON MELTING MOMENTS
1 pt!. (2 c!.) heavy whipping cream
1/2 c!. sugar
juice of 4 lemons
grated zest of 2-4 lemons
2 TB!. Eagle Brand sweetened, condensed milk
8 fresh whole strawberries (garnish)
Combine all ingredients (except berries) in large, well-chilled bowl and beat to heavy peaks!. Divide among 8 parfait glasses; chill and garnish with whole strawberry on top !.!.!.!.!. You need to double this!.!.!.!.!.!.
