Sweet 16 party tips??
My BFF and I are having a sweet 16 together.
The theme is "blackout". Its semiformal, and everyone is showing up in head-to-toe black, and we are coming in really bright dresses!
We hired a DJ and my cousin is a local rapper, he's performing. Were inviting between 100-150 ppl.
Our bdays are in june.
We dont know where to have it or like what to have, how to hand out invites, and other stuff.
Any suggestions would be wonderful!!!!

Oh, I like the theme idea. You need to scower tons of local thrift shops and fabric stores for loads of black material of different kinds. I would get a big open space, like a huge barn or something (clean without animals obviously). Hang the material everywhere, so it creates the background for the party. I would use black invitations and make it clear that you expect people to show up in head to toe black :) Use the colours that you and your friend are wearing to print onto the black invitations. I would inlist the help of your family (ie younger siblings) and get them to dress in all black and hand out the invitations at people's homes (that was others don't feel purposly left out).
I would have snacks like dark chocolate, black cherry soda, coffee drinks, etc. Coffee and chocolate are obvious dark foods, but anything can be dyed to go along with your theme. This sounds like lots of fun :) Good luck
