What side dish or appetizer should I serve for a barbeque with many guests?!
Being italian they want to try my italian cuisine!. What would you think would be best
A) Bruschettas with tomatoes and mushrooms (for those who do not know it is bread rubbed with garlic and topped with tomatoes or mushrooms
b) eggplant parmesan, which are layers of eggplant with mozzarella cheese
c) itlalian rice salad witth rice, sapphron, hotdogs, kalamata olives,capers
d) lasagna but this dish is heavy and takes a long time to prepare and not sure if good with a barbeque

I vote of a and c!. These are side dishes and lasagna and eggplant parmesan are main dishes!.
Regular side dishes for Barbeque are potato salad and pinto beans (not the canned ones) cooked with bacon!. Think about having the flavors go together!. Serve italian things as the appetizers then serve regular barbeque foods that go together, otherwise nothing goes together!. The almond ice cream sounds lovely!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I opt for a or c!. Eggplant parmesan is fantastic but is an acquired taste - a lot of people don't like eggplant!. I think your instincts are good about the Lasagna!. Save it for an indoor sit-down dinner!. Here are a couple of other options that are appetizer/side dish like!.
