How long before my birthday should I start to arrange a party? ?!

Question: How long before my birthday should I start to arrange a party!? !?
I am going to be 30 in May, I have not had a party before other than for my wedding!. I know the venue I want and it comes with a DJ, it is the same place I had my wedding party but how soon should I book the venue and sort out invitations!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
you need to book somewhere soon as not to be disapointed if lots of places are booked up, and send out invites a couple of months before hand!. Get lots of people to help out especially your husbandWww@FoodAQ@Com

Book the venue as soon as you know when you want the party, because someone else might book that date up!. Make sure the DJ's available on that date!. You can leave other stuff till nearer the date if you're less fussy about who arranges it etc!. or if it doesn't need any planning!.

If you are inviting peole who tend to have full diaries, send the invitations out February/March time and make sure you RSVP them!. Remember there's a bank holiday around then!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Start now - at least book the venue so that will be taken care of!. I don't know the venue but they do book up early - especially if it is a place that someone could have reception!. If you feel it's too early, you can just book the venue now and wait until closer to the date to confirm more specific details (caterer, etc)!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well I turned 30 today and I am having a party on saturday for about 60 odd people I am a chef so I hired a hall and am doing all the cooking setting up myself and of course a few friends to help but I only started planning about 6 weeks before and I still sent out invites last week to some people that were away, ideally you should send out invites at least 4weeks prior so hope this helps!! also I would book the venue now it may just get taken!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Book the venue and "staff" (DJ etc) as far in advance as you can and then get the invitations out as soon after you've got confirmation of your bookings sorted!. It's surprising just how long ahead people make appointments, so get your invites in quickly to avoid disappointment!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hi there, i was 30 last may and i had a birthday party in my garden, it was an 80's fancy dress party, it was wicked!. But i did start to plan it about october time, but if you have got to hire things like venues & DJ then you better start now babe!!! Good luck & enjoy being 30 its not that bad!.!.!.!.im having loads of fun! XXWww@FoodAQ@Com

If there's a certain venue you want I would get it booked NOW! May is a busy month for weddings so get in there as soon as you can!. Invites probably don't need to go out until a couple of months before thoughWww@FoodAQ@Com

Id say in about February/March, but I'm always planned well ahead, so possibly March/AprilWww@FoodAQ@Com

If you are definite there are not going to be any changes then I would book ASAP to avoid disappointment Www@FoodAQ@Com

Get a friend or your husband to organise it!. It's so tacky when someone throws themselves a party!.!.!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

at least 2 months before!. Send out invites 6 weeks before!Www@FoodAQ@Com
