I have had 4 baby showers for myself and hosted 6 more!
Easy things are usually what was served most. That and whatever the MOMMY was craving!!
Veggie Trays
Dips and Chips
Finger Sandwhiches
Deviled Eggs
Fruit Salad
Stuffed Mushrooms
Mini Muffins
We have had bbq chicken, sub sandwiches(we cut into 1 inch sandwiches), pizza.
It all depends on what kids of party or theme you are having too. Have fun with it. If you need more help or recipes I can email them to you!

This site has good dip recipes for chips, fruit and veggies! http://www.babyshower101.com/baby_shower...

At my friends, we did sub rings from Walmart-They cut them and provide the condiments.(reasonably priced) My sister made soup and chili and left those in crock-pots and macoroni salad. We also did chips and pretzels. Everyone seemed to enjoy.

Not sure what is planned for my shower. Congratulations on your baby!

First off, congrats on your pregnancy! :) As for the food, fruit and veggie trays are ideal for get togethers..there is something for everyone...crackers with some cheese slices are also an easy, cheap way to feed your guests..some cheese companies sell cheese already sliced in cracker proportains, so no real work is involved :) You could also make a small meat tray with turkey & ham..just buy some lunchmeat that is in a round shape and just roll them and stick them with a toothpick, it helps keep the meat together and is a great way for the guest to pick up the meat as well...have a wonderful shower! :)

My mom made ham and cheese and turkey and cheese sandwhiches ( left condiments for guests to choose), veggie tray, fruit salad, potato salad, tea, coffee, fruit punch, and she ordered a cake for my baby shower.

Meat and cheese tray with crackers/bread or both
Veggie tray with dip
Chips and Dip
Cake
Ice Cream
Punch
mints
nuts

Pineapple Cream Cheese Fluff

? 1 8 oz package cream cheese, slightly softened
? 1 can crushed pineapple, do not drain
? 1 large package instant vanilla pudding
? 1 12 oz bin of CoolWhip

Place cream cheese in medium sized bowl and mush into chunks with fork. Mix in crushed pineapple - with the juice. Add the pudding and mix together and then fold in the CoolWhip. Pour into a serving bowl and refrigerate. May also add drained mandarin oranges.

I have gone to may baby showers and have given some myself and they always seem to be at 2 pm.

I always have things that are light. Most people have eaten lunch, but can use a small snack

Veggies and dip
Chips and salsa
Fruit salad or chocolate covered strawberries ( you can use white chocolate and color it either blue or pink)
A light salad of somekind (Chinese chicken- Caesar salad- Shrimp)
Cake or cupcakes
Punch
