Try Hiscox. They do commercial (Lloyds of London) liability policies.

Premiums are subject to risk and dependent on what country you are operating in. If in the UK only, cover is unlikely to cost much.

They can also advise you on your other insurance questions. If you are renting out the fountains, make sure your renters carry accidental damage insurance which you can claim against if your fountains get damaged while in their care (also, you want to make sure who ever you use to transport the fountains has accidental damage cover).

Contact your local council's environment department about the pat testing.

suggest you speak to a solicitor and maybe the food standards agency google them.

I am sure that when you explain to the insurance companies your business they will tailor the insurance to you. Unlike car insurance, public liability et al is tailored particularly to your clients and wher eyou do business.

Good luck :)

Web site of the British insurance brokers association (Google it) should be able to help with the insurance side of things. PAT testing - look in your local Yellow Pages - electrical contractors.

First of all seek out a insurance brokers in your town, then go see them and explain what you want & they will get the best cover & quote for you. Secondly all qualified electricians can pat test your fountain for you so look in yellow pages for the closest one to you so they come to you rather than you having to lug the fountain to them....good luck with your business I sincerely hope it is successful for you.

Oh, and by the way for your other question.

You use Vegetable Oil to thin the chocolate not cocoa butter. I have a small fountain that holds 5 pounds of chocolate.

5 pounds of chocolate is enough for about 100 people. We had a party with more than 40 people and still had more than half the chocolate left.

i am self employed and my public liability insurance is from SUN ALLIANCE cost depends on how much you want to be insured for. GOOD LUCK
