Organizing a Birthday Party help?

I am planning something cool for my fiancé, but I defiantly need some advise on what to do ….. We are having people over from his job and mine ….. I am scare about people fighting , what type of food I should make ……. We are having like 25 people over.

Answers:
you should make food that is easy to make and can be prepared in advance. when I am entertaining, I always use recipes that I have used before and liked, or I will sometimes pretest a recipe a day of two before so I know how it tastes and how much work it takes. what you decide to cook really depends on how formal this event is going to be, but usually, I try to keep events like bday parties casual and fun, so I tend to serve variations of favorites, bbq chicken, ribs, homemade lasagnas. also, I tend to get help from the store when it comes to appetizers- cheese plates, raw veggies with dip, chips with salsa (which I normally make myself a day or 2 before the event-it just tastes better!)

You should have told us your budget. You need to have hot girls there to make the men happy and lifetime on to make the women happy. You should rent an Asian guy for the night and have him be the cheif. They are good at that. Then he could put on a good show.

Cheese Ball
1 jar Old English cheese spread
1 jar Pimento cheese spread
? jar Roquefort Cheese spread
1 pkg. cream cheese (8 oz)
? teaspoon garlic salt

Cream together all ingredients and let set in refrigerator for about 3-4 hours or until fully chilled. Serve with a variety of crackers. (Chicken in a Bisket crackers taste especially good with this cheese ball).

Mini Meat Balls
Use a frozen variety of meatballs (fully cooked) and simmer them in various sauces.

Swedish Meatball Sauce
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 can of milk

Stir all ingredients until smooth. Let simmer in crock pot with a ? bag of meatballs for 5-6 hours. Serve over rice or with toothpicks.

Sweet and Sour Meatball Sauce
1 bottle of barbecue sauce (any variety; I like Hunts)
1 small jar of grape jelly

Mix together until smooth and let simmer with a ? bag of frozen meatballs for 5-6 hours in your slow cooker of crock pot.

Italian Meatball Sauce
1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce
Add a few more spices for taste (garlic salt, oregano, etc)

Let simmer with a ? bag of frozen meatballs for 5-6 hours in your slow cooker or crock pot.

Munch of the Penguins Appetizer
1-2 cans extra large olives (pitted)
1-2 cans medium olives (pitted)
1-2 packages cream cheese
1 bag of carrots (mini carrots work well)
Fancy toothpicks to hold the penguin together (the decoration on the top can be a hat)

Slice one side of the extra large olives so you can fill them with cream cheese (this is the penguin’s body)

Slice carrots into little circles and cut in half for feet; use extra slices to cut beaks.

Fill the bodies (extra large olives) with cream cheese and set it on top of your carrot feet (be careful that the olive doesn't rip or fall apart). Run your toothpick through the head (medium olives) and down through your body and feet (have your feet touching at the bottom so the toothpick can run through both feet attaching them to the body). Cut a tiny slice in the head (medium olive) just big enough to fit your carrot beak snuggly in the face.

All of these snacks make great party food and each dish is something that can be prepared together as a family. Bon Appetit!

go on the inter net to partygirl411,there is alot of ?s about parties and it even goes by age and your answers are also on there. That's where I go when i am planning a party. it's also based on if you want to serve finger foods or have a full curse meal. my suggestion is to have finger foods that way you don't have to spend alot of time in the kitchen. you can make chicken crescent rolls, meat tray, vegi tray, bbq meat balls, chs and cracker tray etc. chicken crecent rolls- buy crescent rolls, canned chicken.drain water off the canned chicken, mix together chicken mayo salt and pepper, seprate crescent rolls and add a table spoon of the chicken onto crescent roll, roll the crescent roll up just like in the instructions and cook till golden brown. amt to buy for this, well I would get about four cans of each. want a good punch to make? buy strawberry kool-aid and sprite mix and add 1/2 cup of sugar and stir together. you can make your own meat and vegi trays just buy diffrent types of lunch meat and roll the meat up and display on a tray same for your vegi tray and cracker tray or fruit tray just add a dip in the center of the tray. you can also do a hot wing tray with blue chs or ranch dressing. do a sandwich tray or have subway or larry's giant subs to make one for you, just make sure you call in advance to place your order. chicken poppers will go good. what ever you do don't go over board for these people you know what you can afford and can't. make it simple. for more food ideas go to foodnetwork.com and in the drop box on the side look for semi-home made by sandra lee she has some great ideas. I hope I have helped you and good luck and have a great time and don't forget to buy the trays if you go with any of my ideas..
