Can anyone give me ideas for planning a party??!

Question:

Can anyone give me ideas for planning a party??

My daughter is coming 12 and i need party ideas!! HELP!!

Answers:
Definitely get her involved. She probably has ideas of her own, and might not be as happy with her day if all decisions are taken away from her. It may even be that she wants a
party just for the family and a day out with a couple of her best friends (perhaps as part of her present?) rather than a big group party.

Possible ideas for a party are:
~ Bowling
~ Skating
~ BBQ
~ Picnic in the park or at the beach
~ Party at home
~ Disco / "posh do" at a local restaurant or other venue.

All of this depends on your budget, and how many guests there are. For example, if you have loads of guests and a tiny house you may want to think about going elsewhere, even if it's just to a local park for a big picnic.

If you're having a party at home, you could maybe have a theme eg princess, beach party, hawaiian, 70s. Plan games like Pass the Parcel, musical Chairs or Statues, or if you're at the park how about having an Olympics with loads of wacky races?

If you want the minimum of organisation, then maybe it would be worth booking a couple of lanes at the local bowling alley and then taking the kids for pizza afterwards. Depending on the number of kids it might also be worth booking up wherever you're going for food to make sure you get a seat.

Food doesn't have to be expensive - head for the frozen section of your supermarket and grab a bag of sausage rolls, a couple of cheese and tomato pizzas (cook, cut into small pieces and serve cold) chicken wings, supplement with chips/potato wedges and dips, veggie dippers, tortilla chips, sweet biscuits, maybe fairy cakes, and fruit salad. Once again, your daughter probably has ideas about food, and you might be able to get her involved in the preparation as well!

Hope all goes well, and many happy returns!

well invite all of her best frends! get her fave food n a great place! n great presents maybe balloons n lovly decoration! it could even be a surprise party she'll love it even more! i know this stuff isn't useful but hope it helps xxx

ask her and make her a big part in it. 12 is older than you think nowadays give her a budget and let her do it but be there for each step of the way

Alright!! Happy Birthday to her!! :-) Do you know what characters she likes? Music? Ask yourself how well do you know her for starters :-) At the same time remember shes gonna be the quote "Big 12". I mean she'll be 13 next year!! OMG the teen years lol trust me, that can start at the age of 12. All depends on the maturity of the child. :-) Once you figured out what she likes (such as say for instance, she loves the care bears...and maybe Brittney Spears music) then decorate in that type of theme and perhaps play some Brittney music or allow her to play her choice of music. Try to make the party as simple as possible (easier for you) yet Awesome for her. Hamburger/hotdogs w/chips, veges, or even pizza to eat. Her favorite. No need to worry about desert........thats where the cake and ice cream come in mmmm. Play a few games. Musical chairs is always a hit and fun for all ages. Shes still young enough for pinata game too, 2 or 3 legged races are fun lol Relays are always fun and takes up less time when you have a lot of kids. Makes more time to play more games lol Water balloon toss, balance boiled egg.......shh say its a raw egg......funny when they first start that game lol They think its a raw egg and they get all nervous....watch thier face when it falls lol. Well, I can go on and on. Email me if I can be of anymore help :-) Have a Blast!! Peace!!

invite all her friends, hire a hummer or a limo, take her out for a meal, get her a big cake, give her good presents, let her have a sleepover afterwards or sumthing and let her have a bit of freedom
