13th Birthday Party Idea-- Help!?!?!?!

Question:

13th Birthday Party Idea-- Help!?!?!?

Im a girl turning thirteen this july, and i want a really cool birthday party. I live close to the beach, but my mom doesnt want me to have a beach party because she doesnt want to be responsible for watching the kids when they swim. I was thinking of doing a hotel sleepover party with a few of my closest friends, but I live in a tourists' town, so all of the hotels are really expensive. I cant spend much at all on my birthday party, preferably under $200 total. I go to a small school, with only 15 kids in my class so its nearly impossible to have a dance or something like that...
10 points to the best answer, and thanks so much!!!

If the hotels are too expensive, and your mom doesn't want to be responsible for kids swimming, just have a party on the beach! Prohibit the kids from going into the water and have it a bit before sunset. You can invite your whole class and others too. For decorations, hang bright colored paper lanterns for a cool effect. Streamers are cool and if you look online, you can make different decor yourself! Invite a couple close friends and have a small get-together to make all sorts of decoration. It'll be fun and creative! Entertainment? The kids can entertain themselves with music, dancing, eating, and activities. Sand volleyball, relay races, and water balloon fights are awesome for beach games. Worried about what kind of foods to provide? Don't drive yourself crazy! Finger foods are great in this case. You and your parents can make these (ex. finger sandwiches or chips and dip). Since you wont be having heavy foods, maybe your mom or dad might want to make cocktail drinks like virgin Pina Coladas or Strawberry Daiquiris. They can always look in a recipe book to learn how. If not, juice boxes are cool too. Have fun, good luck, and Happy 13th Birthday! I hope I've helped (:

PS. Add your own touch too! For example, if you like soccer, set up a soccer game or make cute soccer decor! Dont spend too much money and get creative!

email me and tell me how your party went (:

the hotel thing is really fun. one of my friends did that before. but seeing as how you can't spend a lot of money that might be hard. Is there any friends of yours who also have birthdays around this time? maybe you can do the party together and split the cost?

You could go to a restaurant, the mall, or the movies. I don't know if your town does something for the 4th of July, but you could go to whatever celebration they are having. You could still do the hotel idea. Just tell the people who want to stay at it that they have to pay for a certian amount. For those who don't want to pay, tell them that they can chill for a certian amount of time, and then when it's time to go to the hotel that they have to leave. Happy 13, and good luck with your party.

a 13th birthday is really important to a girl so you want to make it really special and with your friends. so to have just a simple time just:

get some friends over to your house and watch some scary movies at night, and have a sleepover. its somthing simple but at the same time its also really fun.

you can order pizza and you all could be comfortable and just have a great time together.

have some pillow fights, do eachothers nails and make up

see who can dress the wierdest. have like crazy contests like that.

and im sure you guys can have a great time without a hotel or the beach.

good luck! = )

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

i would go for a themed party @ your house. Since u can't go 2 the beach, take the beach 2 u. plan a hawaiian party and have everyone come in bathing suits and grass skirts. have coconut cups and a tiki bar. or u could do another theme that u enjoy. ie 70's night, tie dye, etc. (i've done those and they went off w/o a hitch!)
Hope i helped u

How about a scavenger hunt? Or an overnight camping trip instead of the hotel? Go away from the water, just to be different. Do you have mountains nearby where you could book a campsite? Book early, the good ones get taken fast!

Have a big cook out invite some of your friends have games, food, and music to make it fun keep the the cook out alive make sure to video tape the whole cook out so you can sit down and watch it when everything is over with all your friends. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are on a tight budget you may as well have the party at home, and use the money wisely!
how about renting dvds, pigging out on pizza, popcorn, etc.,and a sleepover.
or have a disco,everyone dressed all glittery,with a disco ball,etc.
or a themed night,such as famous people from history,pop singers,movie stars,etc

A good website to visit for hotel is www.hotwire.com. You wouldn't exactly know the hotel name until you book and pay. You go by the number of star ratings and also the location. Also you can look at the supplier of hotels they only deal with.
We recently just stayed at the buena vista plaze hotel in orlando florida last week. The price ranges from $119-238 per night. We received a good rate on hotwire for $59 dollars per night. We didn't know the name until we payed but we picked a 4 star hotel. Then the room was extremely nice w/a private balcony, 32inch plasma tv, wireless internet, etc...

why don't you go to the local ice cream parlor, reserve an area just for you and your friends and have a make your own sundae thing. ask the management if you can bring a couple of cds which you can custom make to the music of your choice. am sure they will allow you to put up balloons, etc to make it festive.
you can have a large jar of jelly beans in the center of the table and everyone has to guess how many are inside. winner keeps the jar. have a competition of who can walk around the table with a raw bean on a tablespoon without making it fall. (sounds easy but its not). make a theme party, have everyone dress up in that theme and then select a winner for best dressed (retro, goth, hippie.. w/e)
OR: rent a boat for 2 hours and take a boat ride and serve dessert on boat. can do theme party on boat as well.
good luck and have fun thats the most important part!

invite a couple of your friends over...have a sleep over at your house...you could go to a local pool and go swimming...you can all go to the movies...go back to your house and watch more movies! lol! play card games and board games...if you have a wii, xbox, or nintendo you could play with that...if you have a pool table you can play with that...just have fun doing what you like to do! make sure you have snacks though! like chips, cookies, fruit...and stuff like that...you and your friends could play music and dance to it and stuff!! there are a bunch of things to do! best of luck and have fun! congrats on being 13!!
