Moulin Rouge themed Bachelorette Party?!

Question: Moulin Rouge themed Bachelorette Party!?
I am throwing a Moulin Rouge themed bachelorette party for my sister, I am in need for ideas!. We are decorating the hotel room with red and black boas, making the classic red windmill (from cardboard) with christmas lights around it and serving cheese and baguettes and champagne and the now legal absinthe!. I can't think of any other foods or drinks, and am unsure if I should have the guests be in costume since it is a bachelorette party!. I think it would be fun, but I am not sure! Please help!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have some very interesting absinthe cocktail recipes that are fun!.

Absinthe Flip
1/2 oz!. Absinthe
1/2 OZ!. Cointreau
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 small egg
1 teaspoon sugar
grated nutmeg
Shake ingredients well with ice!. Strain into a pre-chilled Delmonico glass!. Sprinkle nutmeg on top!.

Absinthe Martini
2 ozs!. gin
1/2 oz!. dry vermouth
1/8 teaspoon Absinthe
Stir well with ice!. Strain into a pre-chilled cocktail glass!. Very pleasant with an onion stuffed olive!. Some bartenders pour a soucon of Absinthe into the glass, swirl it around and then add the martini

Ladies Cocktail

1 1/2 oz Calvert Extra
2 dashes Absinthe or Anesone
3 dashes Anisette
1 dash bitters
Stir well with ice!. Strain into glass!. Serve with piece of pineapple on top!.

I think dressing up would be fun!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make a bright green punch using green liqueurs to serve as Absinthe!.

Serve rich luscious pastries like cakes and croissants!. Make cupcakes and decorate them with thick dollops of cream and cherries!.

Give sausages a fun touch by making a fake cigar box to serve them in and have a friend walk about serving them like the cigarette girls of old!.

Well since you are already having the whole Moulin Rouge theme, you probably won't have to have the guests showing up in costume!. But maybe you should get some good old fashioned french desserts!. May be just to sweeten the deal you should get some sort of keepsake that reflects that night!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
