Activities for a recipe exchange party?!

Question: Activities for a recipe exchange party!?
I want to have a recipe exchange party where everyone brings their favorite dish along with the recipe to exchange with everyone!. Do you have any ideas for activities/games we can do while socializing and eating!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
You could put together the recipes you're exchanging into a cookbook!. You can do cute scrapbook-type layouts!. If you've got a digital camera, take photos of the dishes to go along with each person's recipe!.

Ask each person to bring some scrapbooking supplies - papers, buttons, charms, clear plastic sleeves (I buy mine cheaply by the box at Costco), ribbons, decorative scissors, etc!. You can also have them bring other favorite recipes, besides the one they're making, so you'll have a larger recipe book!. You can ask guests to bring enough copies to share with the group!.

I did a similar exchange and asked each person to write about the recipe!. They can write when they serve it, who gave them the recipe, etc!. These notes can be copied (and reduced) to include on the recipe pages!. You may want to have a theme like - cookies, appetizers, salads, etc!.

I'd be sure and take a group photo and make copies for everyone's recipe book!. The books don't have to be completed at your exchange, just get them started!. You could scrap your own recipe ahead of time to get them inspired!.

If you like this idea, I've listed several links below to get you going!.

Here's some other party type games to try!.

Clothespin Game!.
Give each person a clothespin as they enter!. They attach it to their clothing!. Choose a “secret word”!. It can be anything related to your exchange, like- bake, boil, etc!. When someone hears another guest saying the secret word, they take that guest’s clothespin!. The guest with the most clothespins at the end of the party wins a prize!.

Word Jumble
Make a list of 10 - 15 words relating to your party theme!. In your case, words like dessert, cooking, rolling pin, pastry blender, etc!. Keep this list as your master list!. Copy the words onto another list, and scramble the letters to each word!. Make copies of the jumbled word list and pass out to guests during game time, along with a pencil or pen and a magazine to write on!. Set a timer for a couple of minutes!. Have guests try to unscramble the words!. When time is up, share the answers from your master list!. The person with the most correct answers wins!.

Hope you all have a great time and share some good recipes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

what about using a blind fold for tasting the dishes seeing if your guests can guess what the ingredients are in the dish!. serve a variety of wine and educate your guests on the types of wine and if possible get a list of the dishes they are making and find wines to complement all of dishes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
