Themed Party Ideas?!

Question:

Themed Party Ideas?

I am going to be 23 soon and would like some ideas on themed birthday parties. Any unique suggestions?

Answers:
Of course clowns would be out. Hmmm, I have been planning a party for any occasion with the theme of a treasure hunt. Prepare the evening/morning before the event some trinkets/treasure (it could be a book, magazine, something cool) and hide it. Create some small maps with clues, very good puzzle clues. Divide the guests into even teams and set them out to find the treasure.

Pirates are popular this year. How about a 1920's themed party, or the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, etc... Or gangster? Or dress as your favorite celebrity? A bad bridal party? (Old suits and dresses are cheap at a thrift store.) Punk rockers?

maybe a cocktail themed party -- or a margarita themed party.

You could have a party somewhere and have like all you can drink cocktails

Depending on where you live and how cold it is, you could do a Hawaiian theme. Try the Oriental Trading Company (you can request a free catalog on-line) for great props and hula outfits. They also have a bunch of pirate stuff if you decide to use the previous suggestions.
Or, use your favorite movie/t.v. show as the theme for your party. Your friends could dress as characters and you could decorate to look like a movie set or a particular scene.
Well, Happy Birthday!, no matter what your theme turns out to be

I've always wanted to do a hollywood/glamour themed party. Everyone could dress up and add embelishments such as boas and big jewelry. Guys could wear spoarts jackets with their collars up. You could serve finger foods and drinks out of martini glasses. Anything with glitter, glitz and glamour would work. It would be very easy to decorate for and you could feel ritzy all night long!!!

Hawaiian - palm trees, coconut drinks, dress in bikinis and wraps

Breakfast at Tiffany's - formal wear, decorate with the signature blue color, serve fancy drinks in champange classes

Casino - set up games like poker and black jack, more casual

this would be the perfect time to live out your fantasy be it another planet to the beach ,roaring 20s,nifty 50s swinging 60s,you can go back to any era or a fantasy future make your own day special and have a happy one

If you are turning 23, you must have been born in 1983 (or if your birthday is in or after January, then 1984). You should have a 1983(4) birthday. The invite could be: You are invited to come with me back to 1983!"

Everyone has to dress like the early eighties. Look up Billboards music from 1983 and down-load it from i-tunes. Your place-cards could be the names of famous personalities from 1983 and what they did: Sally Ride (First Female Astronaut); Debra Winger (Tear-Jerks us in Terms of Endearment); Michael Jackson (Thriller Debuts). You get the idea. Don't forget to have a posters from the year hanging around as decorations.

Don't forget to give everyone a my little pony or rainbow bright sticker on their way out!

Disco, fifties, 80's, indoor beach party, casino, gourmet night, board games, KID games (it's fun to regress, especially if drunk), dress as your fave TV character....

You could do a Casino/Vegas theme. Use monopoly money and ask a friend or two to man a blackjack table or something.
