Question:

Does anyone know how much hotdogs and kielbasa I would need for 200 people???

I am having a benefit dance for my brother-in-law and I need to know how much food to prepare for it. For about 200 people I think.
I do not want to run out of food!!!

I would need more information on the time of day and what else you are serving. I am a semi-retired caterer. You may e-mail me or you could contact a caterer in your area. A few cookbooks have a multiplier in the back of the book. I think 1-1/2 hot dogs per person and if Kielbasa is 1lb. like we have here, that would be about 3 servings. Look on the product label for how much constitutes a serving and err on the side of having leftovers (which are readily accepted at your local homeless shelter as a donation!). I hope your event is spectacular!

Hot dogs are small but kielbasa isn't. I think it's safe to assume that people will probably have 2 1/2 hot dogs per person (plus an additional 75-100) and 1 kielbasa per person (plus 25-35). But it really depends on how much the budget is.

figure 2 hot dogs or 3 per person and and kelbosa about 2-3 people for one .

My general rule of thumb is take each amount times 1.5. Some eat more, some eat less, people don't show up, etc... And there's no shame in running out of one or the other. If you run out of the kielbasa, then their only choice will be hot dogs. And vice versa.

Maybe grab a couple more packages of each just in case.

At a minimum count on 2 per person.
