If serving finger food, do you still use the 'fancy' napkins?!

Question:

If serving finger food, do you still use the 'fancy' napkins?

For the bride and grooms table it will set up with all of the 'nice' linen napkins, crystal glasses etc......
The reception is buffet style with hors'dervs, meatballs, etc.....
so should there be linen napkins on the tables or nice paper ones?

Answers:
For other than the head table, nice paper ones will do. Make sure to put extra plain ones on the end of the buffet, in case they need more to keep things from staining their clothes...Good question..

No just some pretty paper ones! Have a wonderful Day!

i think that you should definitely get the nice paper ones. when using finger foods it's sort of casual. so the paper ones would definitely be great.

As a caterer--you don't have to but, it looks better. For a wedding, I'd say deffinately yes.

no I think also that the nice paper napkins are great. also maybe you can check the price of ordering napkins with the bride & grooms name & or wedding date or something like that on the napkins

I'd go with the nice paper ones. People don't like dirtying the linens, or have to carry them around, they can always grab another paper napkin. Linens for dinner though. That's the way I'd go.

I just recently got married and I had more of a butler style reception/dinner. Linen napkins are the way to go.

I think the largest cloth napkin available would be welcomed by the bride and groom. Paper ones are fine for the guests.

I even use linen napkins at home for everyday use. You can never go wrong with the classics.

And, though I am not a treehugger, there is less waste when using linen.

If it's a fancy reception than yes if not paper is fine. You may check the price difference because the caterer may have included napkins.

I would use nice paper napkins for finger food.
