You can make little sandwiches and serve something to drink, iced tea or beer or wine,or fruit punch or coffee!.
The little sandwiches can be made the night before or in the morning!. Place in the fridge with a damp towel on top!. Make one sandwich or one and a half for each person!.
Spread thin slices of whole wheat bread or white bread with margarine!. Then put a thin slices of ham, a smear of mustard, and a tiny bit of shredded lettuce for 1/4 of the total sandwiches needed!. Cut each sandwich in fourths!.
Continue with other fillings such as 1)cream cheese with chopped walnuts, 2) egg salad, (mashed boiled eggs with tiny dice celery and a dash of mayonnaise), 3) tuna salad (Mashed tuna with tiny dice celery and curried mayonnaise!.)
You then have 4 fillings so that people have a nice choice!. Be sure not to stuff the sandwiches!. You want nice thin flat sandwiches!.
Leaving the crusts on keeps them firmer than if you remove the crust, which makes them a bit floppier, not good for finger If you plan to use plates, you can remove the crusts, and then cut sandwiches lengthwise into three strips!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If money is real tight, you could go buy some regular popcorn and cook that right before your party starts!. I don't know what you have on hand in the pantry so its really hard to recommend something without knowing!. Deviled eggs are good and cheap if you already have them, most people have mayo, pickle relish and mustard in the pantry (you can also fill a sandwich bag with the filling and pipe the egg halves with the bag, less mess, less waste and they look prettier too!.!.!.
If you have jello and vodka you could make jello "wigglers" instead of jello shots - then you can give your guests a little treat to go with you appetizers! Another easy and cheap appetizer is ham and cream cheese roll ups!. Smother room temp cream cheese on a slice of deli ham, roll up and cut into 4 bite size pieces!. My daughter can eat a whole platter by herself~ she loves them!
Since your the only one who knows what is in your pantry - you can go to www!.allrecipes!.com and do an ingredient search and you can actually modify it to appetizers!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
