Is fried ice cream really fried?!

Question:

Is fried ice cream really fried?

Answers:
Yeah but it's rolled through a crust that is usually made with crushed cereal and cinnamon, It's really good!

Foodnetwork.com says so..... http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/...

Yes. A scoop of ice cream is rolled in a sugary coating and quickly deep-fat fried. It is only in the oil long enough to crystalize the sugar, to create that crunchy outside coating, which literally takes less than a minute. If they left it in any longer....the ice cream would melt!! :) Hope this helps!!

it is....its ot and cold and to me it doesnt taste THAT good...but sometimes on special days it duz taste nice

yes and its called Flan

Not in the real sense of the word.

Yes, you put on a coating then fry it quickly.

yes

The recipe I make for Fried Ice Cream is this: scoop out vanilla ice cream in balls and place on cookie sheet. Place in freezer until very hard. Heat you oil (clean, new) and have a mix of crushed corn flakes mixed with cinnamon and sugar ready. Take out one or two ice cream balls at a time, roll well in mix to cover completely then carefully lower into hot oil and cook til golden brown but not burned. Serve immediately in a bowl. You can add chocolate syrup. Yummy!

yes
